It is so refreshing to read this thread when BU wins and BC loses as there are no posts from the other end of Commonwealth trolls! :)

Depends on 1) if she was good looking and 2) if she was dressed scantily. Also 3) when did I start channeling Mookie???

you're safe... no mention whether she had slanty eyes or not ;)

looks like mookie will make his 2012 debut at the umass game next friday!

Anybody have predictions for the weekend?

I'll be interested to see how the freshmen take to the big sheet up in Durham

I wonder if Moran will dress (my guess is yes as it seems Parker usuall likes to give freshmen an opportunity to show what they ahve early on), and if so, who will sit. Lane had a pretty solid game, was on the ice to help protect the lead in the last couple minutes. Santana showed a lot of hustle.

I agree that Moran will dress for a game sooner rather than later, but I'd be kind of surprised if it wasn't at home (i.e. UMass). If I'm wrong, however, I'd guess he will make another freshman sit over an upperclassmen.

As I've heard it, Moran wasn't the same level (blue-chip) recruit as the other freshmen. Then again, my memory may have failed me, or I was misinformed.

So.... No undefeated season. (maybe the world won't end :p)

Looks like your week is going to be a little less "refreshing."

Let's be honest, when Parker isn't throwing kids under the bus or bailing someone out of jail, this thread is BORING!

Look at the bright side, no goalie controversy.

Was he wearing his Brett Bennett Goalie Camp t-shirt under his uni?

I still think Maguire will be fine in the long run. He was in good position, obviously had some nerves in his first game. I wouldn't be surprised to see him get the home start this weekend to try to settle him in and have O'Connor start on the road since he seems more comfortable

He looked incredibly nervous, three of those four goals were way into the softie category. He was fighting the puck all night and it was obvious, especially to the UNH guys. They clearly knew anything they threw at the net had a decent shot of sneaking past him and they took advantage of it. I have to think he gets the home start this weekend and see how he does with a home crowd supporting him. Plus, Amherst is a quirky place and probably will be amped up with drunken zombies, so it'd be a good road test for O'Connor, who actually looked fairly solid in the period and a half he played Saturday. But no reason to end the platoon after one bad game. The team as a whole in front of him unraveled Saturday night as well, which didn't help his cause. Hopefully just a first road game jitters for the new guys that can be corrected with some experience. Tough situation for them, UNH played a solid game in an always difficult environment.

It only took them .4 seconds from the drop of the opening puck to start their F BC chant, will they beat that record this weekend?

Caught the end of the BU-UNH game on radio and I believe I heard Corbett say that BU has the best record of any opposing team at the Whittemore Center.

thought the same thing. i watched the highlights on HEonline and though it wasnt the clearest picture, 3 certainly looked of the soft variety

talk about understatements...what I want to know is how UNH managed to acquire a soviet made circa 1970 TV camera to broadcast that game and why they can't afford anything more than solar powered lights from Lowes to illuminate the ice?

I kept waiting for ads from "the new AMC Pacer" and "Elect Gerald Ford" to show up after the intermission, sponsored by Jordache Jeans.

As for the goalie, we've all seen a guy have a bad game but that was scary. Sure it would be nice for him to get back on the horse but winning is important too; only put him in there if what they'd seen to this point convinces them it was just opening night jitters. Otherwise, let him watch a few more games to ensure he is completely over it.
