whatever. the tall dude needs to work on his quickness. that is now two goals in his 6.5 games where he is too slow getting back to cover his post when the puck gets behind the line. unacceptable. i would sit him next weekend and tell him to go work on it and get back to us when he's ready to move.

unacceptable to give up those two goals. one mistake, not good. two in such a short sample. sit.
Score, please?

Wait? Rawlings transferred to BU? I can't believe I missed this...:D

I really hope you're being sarcastic. Benching O'Connor next weekend would be completely asinine.

Re: Boston University 2012-13 Season Thread -- Up To The Task?

I thought O'Connor looked extremely pedestrian. Shots were bouncing off him into the crease all over the place. All of his glove saves were shot straight into the webbing by the shooter. Plus, the whole getting across the crease thing, yeah.

If the other guy is worse than this, you're definitely going to have some issues.

There's no reason for some of these BC posters to be so smug tonight. Your team did not look like a #1. I would be incredibly concerned when 2 of your goals are flukey, behind the net goals, and one goal is an empty netter. Don't worry though Karma will come. Also, it is impossible to embellish a boarding penalty.

I see you're new here. They're just here to get some BU fans cranked up. You'll get used to them.

Somebody call the WAHHHHHHH-mbulance!

Also, in Re: your last sentence: lol.

Re: Boston University 2012-13 Season Thread -- Up To The Task?

There were other examples of embellishment today by BU. That was not one of them.

Agree, that call was right in front of my seat, terrible. But they missed other blatant embellishments/dives by us so it evened out in the end. It is also most definitely possible to embellish a board. More difficult for both to occur, but possible.

Not terribly concerned at the moment. This team has some experienced players and they didn't look good either in the 1st half of last year when they were 14-10 before their 2nd half run. Actually, they're doing better than I thought they would with all the losses from last year's team. Everyone has their ups and downs but with York behind the bench, we don't feel alarmed. If you look at the stats Hayes, Arnold, JG, Mullane, Whitney, and even Straight is contributing and stepping up so far.

You are right. Karma will come, similar to the karma Jack is experiencing from complaining about BC diving for so many years. And it is not impossible to embellish a boarding penalty, it's actually the easiest penalty to embellish. Stand two or three feet from the boards, wait for the slightest bit of contact, and lunge yourself into the boards. Doesn't look like a flop and is seen as a dangerous hit. Happens a lot.

it takes two to lie! one to tell the lie, and one to listen.

Try being specific. Call out whoever you want to call out. As for being "smug", you really think it only has to do with a regular season win? The first goal was not a fluke and as mookie pointed out in regard to the 2nd goal, it's not the first time it has happened to your goalie. I remember a lowell fan saying bc didnt impress them while they were #1 in a season where bc went on to win the national title. Who cares? Suck it up, your team lost to bc at home...again. but, when all else fails, throw out the karma thing. Grasp at straws. Three titles in five years...karma must be hibernating. Dope.

First, don't exchange fire with the trolls. To paraphrase Col Flagg, "don't play dumb with them, they're better at it than you are".

Boarding is pretty easy to draw, as mentioned below.

As for Karma, are we taking instant karma or just regular karma?...'cause unless their bus broke down on the way home, the instant karma wasn't evident. Perhaps the laws of physics cease to exist in our arena. Was it magic karma? Did they get their karma from the same guy that sold Jack his magic beans?

As for JD, just head over to the Westfield State thread and respond there. It's in the Unaccredited Schools forum.
