No, pizza and the terrier grill were the same at the comm ave end. There is a cart above the SE corner with some kind of $8.75 roast beef sandwich or something.
It was a roasted pork lion sandwich and the meat was the same as the entree in the club room. Based on the description of Bay State Bistro I expect that it will be the same as the club room entree for every game.

Great showing by the students tonight. Both ends of the arena are full.

TONS of freshmen (or to be more specific students at their first game, didn't ask them their class year;) ), which is definitely good in the long run, especially since I didn't see any special advertising or promotions around campus for this game, if the team can just keep scoring 9 goals a game they won't ever think about leaving:p

Hee! BU fans chanting BU football after 7th goal.

Surprised you heard it, there were many people turned around with confused looks for that one.

You know...FWIW, Rosen didn't look half bad at forward and where did that slapper come from? Granted he had 5 seconds to windup.

Coyle is the real deal, Nieto sure can pass.

Not too sure about Cisse. Doesn't look strong on the skates.

Cissé wasn't supposed to play full game, but then Gaudet was injured.

Any chance you added a mini-gallery to the recap? ;)

- Anyone else use all-access last night? I did not log on until the 2nd period but the quality was better than last year.

- Did it seem like the team took on the personality of its Senior Captain last night? i.e. feisty, hungry, hustling, etc. If so, I'm all for it.

Agreed on the crowd, especially the students. Agreed, too, on the energy of the team. Other first impressions in no particular order:

1. When I got home, I sprung for overnight delivery when I ordered my "Friends of Charlie Coyle" tee-shirt.

2. Yeah, yeah, it's way to early to lock in lines . . . but 3, 6, and 12 complement each other well (and could be called the factor line).

3. Which would put together 9, 10, and 17. I can't puzzle out a series there, but they'd be dangerous, too. You might want to match them up with Nyquist and Kreider, given Trivino's defensive skills.

4. And then you'd have 22, the upgraded 18, and someone else fighting for a slot (27? 28?).

5. Finally, for the fourth line, 15 isn't the prettiest skater but he gets around the rink and plays with a lot of intensity. I like the idea of pairing him with 19 to establish a physical presence, and letting other guys move in and out of the remaining slot based on how they're playing.

I can't say much about defense, as they really weren't tested. Speaking of which, how do you think that Toronto club is going to fare at Chestnut Hill this afternoon just 18.5 hours after having being clocked by the Terriers?

They will get slaughtered. BC has had a little bit extra time to practice and have a very talented team. 8 goals at least for BC.

Oops - computer froze up and I actually did check the thread to see if that happened and it didn't show any posts appearing. BTW, I didn't get up at 6 am, I went to bed after the attemped post.

Bavis thinks much more highly of Santana than the goalguard and pointed out that he does have pretty moves and made at least one wow move every game last year.

I meant that as a rhetorical question. If BC doesn't pot 8 in the first period, it will only be out of mercy. The Varsity Blues could still could tell their bus driver to head for Logan, not Newton, and catch Air Canada 365 at 3:35 pm and be home for supper.

That gallery confirms what I thought- Toronto had a lot of hits to the head that weren't called. Also, photo 76 is hilarious.

In other photo news, I just put U-Jin Lee's slideshow up on the blog. Last photo's a good shot of Courtnall's punch.

Yeah, we mentioned a few times on the blog how he ended up down low on the PP. He even ended up behind the net a couple times. Him and Coyle both looked right at home on the PP. I could see both of them being on the top unit.

seems as though that this team was mighty pathetic .............Malden Catholic may have given both BC and BU a tougher time:)

This may have been asked already, but is there TV or internet feed for the Icebreaker?

Toronto had a lot of hits to the head that weren't called.

With the way BU purposely tried to run up the score in the 3rd period, I'm surprised no one from Toronto ran a BU player headfirst into the boards.

I also hate when hockey teams try to score.

Then you'll love the BU regular season!

Quite interesting that they'd try to score late in an exhibition game but not during the regular season, if it hadn't come from a reliable source like yourself I wouldn't believe it.
