Re: Boston University 2009-2010 Season Thread III: From the Beanpot until the end...

Did y'all notice that the team we play twice up there next weekend just released their 2nd leasing scorer?!?!

I am thoroughly impressed. He is their second leading scorer and he manage to get kicked off the team. Well done

Why not win 14?

fuzzy math:p

...I knew when I put it in that I hadn't taken the time to figure it all out but 12 would get us pretty far so I'd be happy...I'll take 14 if that is the number for the promised land

Seems so anticlimactic, don't it? :D

(I am joking, naturally)
You shouldn't be joking, playing UML for a conference championship is kind of lame. Same as playing UVM the year before was for us. zzzzZZZzzz

Your point, good sir.

I'm usually right :) .

Seriously though, I haven't missed a home game in three years and have been following the team since my freshman year in 92-93.

Although I rarely post b/c of guys like SteveF, I do read this board every day.

Let's take 4/4 this weekend.

Yeah, I'd be ecstatic with 12, too.

Hey, Fsteve is actually a pretty cool guy. :D

Yeah, the 4 pts are a must. If we had won the first game against them, I would have been worried about tomorrow. But I think this is a No Worries weekend.

Let's help our PC friends in the Race to 100! :p

Fair enough. I've never met him. He thinks I'm someone I'm not and always gives me a hard time.

I'm sure he's a good guy.

Agreed completely. Unless it involves the fanboys or hillbillies, it's just not that exciting (and we all know that UVM people are not REAL hillbillies like Maine/UNH fans. I got nothing on UML fans...).

As always, I hate to agree with BC people... but Tony and Carmine are absolutely right. Especially when you add the three goals in 44 seconds incident I think the UML final was a bit of a let down for everybody... not as good of a fan base, obviously not a rivalry like BU/BC... you could feel the let down running down the stairs and on the T, it wasn't the same as after the BC game. We were just saving up the emotion for April 11th though, we knew we were going on to better and greater things. :D

It did spawn one of the better threads around here though...

The BU-Lowell final was just fine by me because 1) It was my two favorite teams, and 2) It gave me a perfect Hockey East playoff bracket.

I was fine with the BU-Lowell final. Lowell brought a lot more fans than expected and looked like they were a pretty good group. What made the game a let down was how uninspired the play was. There were not a lot of times to get excited during that game. The highlights were basically the review of the lone goal and the three or so BU shots that hit a crossbar or post, especially the one when lowell had an empty net.

You forgot #3: Watching Lowell try to get away with scoring an illegal goal, and then having their fans cry about it for the next 6 months. :D

Just back from being out of town, and I've got a lot of catching up to do; but this:
I've been reading the username as butt-error.
was flippin hilarious. I hear Darrell Hammond as Sean Connery in the Jeopardy sketch. :p "I'll take Butt Error for 200." "That's B. U. Terror." "That's what you think!"

Great call.

Still one of my all time favorites. "I'll take The Rapists for 300." "Uhhhh, That's THERAPISTS"
