Does anyone know the name or story of the nine year old national anthem singer from last night at BU

16 points in 109 games to 29 points in 45 games for John McCarthy wasn't too shabby, either.

Was asked to be more involved in the offense, was put on the 2nd line with much more talented line mates than he had ever had, and was given PP time, and increased his PPG ~430%.

ZCohen had none of those traditional stat boosting moves and raised his GPG ~480%. And GPG is probably a more accurate representation of improvement because one automatically gets a handful of second assists just playing with Bonino and Yip. And it's not just the stats he went from not using his body, or was barely able to skate (who remembers the Beanpot breakaway where he tripped on the blueline?) to the point where I can't recall anyone calling him a liability in any situation he's been in during the past two years. John was a phenomenal one dimensional player for 3 years because that's what the team needed, if he didn't spend his first 3 years as a PK specialist he would have accumulated more points.

Both Gaudet and McCarthy had great improvements, no doubt. But I take Zach.

Re: GOALIE ROTATIONS

Re: GOALIE ROTATIONS

Sorry to be late on this but I recall some discussion of goalie rotations and as one with some first hand knowledge of the 3 varsity years 1969-1972, I thought I'd look into the archives for some data. Having done so I report as follows on goalie participation in those seasons:

1969-1970: we played 27 games. Tim Regan appeared in 23 games; Dan Brady 6 and Steffan Brueckner 2 (One game saw all three play in a 10-2 romp over Princeton)

1970-71: We played 31 games. Dan Brady appeared in 18 games, Tim Regan 14, and Steffan Brueckner 1 (Steffan made the trip to St. Luois and played in game 2 against the Billikens)

1971-72: We played 31 games. Dan Brady appeared in 27 games, Tim Regan 9, Ed Walsh 3 and Joe Robillard 2. (Dan and Tim split some of the early games each playing a period and a half before Tim went to the Olympic team. Joe and Eddie backed up Brady and saw some action as you can see. Of course Dan was injured and Tim came back from Japan and was the MVP of the NCAA tourney)

He has a whole week off. He will play against providence

When players can't practice all week Jack keeps them out. He won't play against Providence. I don't care if you're Corey himself, even he wouldn't know at this point. Like I said before, Trivino has had similar injuries before and has had long recovery times. If this one is anywhere near as severe as they're saying, he won't play for a few weeks. Not taking this weekend lightly, but they're still more talented than Providence even without Trivino and should win with good efforts, the coaches and training staff WILL NOT rush him back.

Now Alex Greer on the other hand. I've heard he's been skating in WBA, clearly he's healthy enough to play, I mean he can skate!

Can we just take a moment to applaud the terror for consecutive posts without any misspellings or grammatical errors. First BU wins consecutive games on back-to-back nights, and now this? What a weekend!!!

Sentences should end with a punctuation mark. :p

Agreed, he made a huge improvement. I think Gryba's improvement was almost as good as well before last season, but most of his changes were in his approach and things like positioning. Zach completely changed his game and realized his role.

Other than he doesn't have the range required to sing the national anthem, nope.

Yes. The Daily Free Press: Reinventing journalism one emoticon at a time:D

Yes because everyone so intently follows the daily free press and their sensational journalism

1) I don't see how that post warranted this response. It was a joke.
2) I'd venture to guess that the majority of BU posters on here actually do follow our hockey coverage in one way or another.
3) We're sensational compared to Claire Antioch.

When talking about improving players, don't forget current employee #6 (I forget to always referenced Roche with the related term, but I'm borrowing). he has already matched the production of his first two years combined, though I know injuries played a role. not sure if we are seeing better skill out there or not, but on a team that is not deep at forward, he has stepped up in a big way.

His jump in point production is certainly huge, but I think just as impressive is his drop in penalty minutes -- 74 last year to just 6 this season.
