scarlet will be happy to note that GQ is now sitting at 97 wins (97-65-19), so when the boys hoist the beanpot in 8 days ------ that could be his 100th win as terriors coach :D

Do you there will be any recognition/good luck, we all wish you the best for both Greenway and Donato as they leave for the Olympics the day after Monday’s game?

That would be a nice touch. The beginning of that game will be the "fullest" the Garden will be, so it would be a good time.

Which reminds me - does the Beanpot HOF announcement take place the first or second night?

For all you Belichick bashers...it came out a little while ago ("officially" unsubstantiated but usually where there's smoke there's fire in regards to these things) that Butler missed curfew on Thursday, was busted with weed by MN police and had a meltdown on the coaches. Local reporters will probably stay away from the story...but is anyone surprised? He's been a malcontent since that INT in the Super Bowl.

I saw that story, the originator of the report isn't exactly a credible journalist, it's a Pro Football Focus fantasy football writer quoting a family friend connected with MN law enforcement.

It’s February and our 3rd line left winger is a defenseman. *sigh*

You'd prefer Cloonan like the UMass game? No Harper again is disappointing. Must've lost lots of weight with the flu.

What a dominating performance by Greenway. Best I’ve ever seen him play in Terrier uniform. Also really liked the fact that the boys were putting the puck on net instead of trying to set up a pretty goal. That said, I thought Tkachuk passed us a few prime scoring chances to pass.

up to #18

and still on track for GQ to get win #100 on Monday :D

I'm getting caught up on the DVR now. Unfortunate the refs missed a pretty obvious 7 guys on the ice for Harvard with 6 seconds left in the third.

Didn't notice that. An otherwise generally clean game, only five penalties called in total for ~82 minutes of play.

Hear ****ing hear!!! What a joy it was watching Terriers streaking to the net and shooting the puck. Ty looked like Tony. Did the team go rogue or did DQ figure it out?

Yes on both fronts. Tkachuk passed up two great opportunities in OT. I was yelling at the screen. He had a generally quiet game, at least until the OT.

Based on the comments I read, it sounds like the difference between the second period and the OT (or for that matter any of those periods where we look terrible and any that we look good) is the team lacking confidence to be aggressive all over the ice. The Amonte goal was a prime example - he even said in his comments that he thought about just dishing it to Fabbro (or whoever the dman was in the neutral zone) before he changed his mind, spun around, and drove into the zone. he said Quinn would not have been happy if he had just sent it back to the d (perhaps because it looked like he could have kept it in the zone rather than skate out with it).
