Man I hope Kennedy gets hired out there... That would be so sick.
I don't know; Chris MacKenzie has been there a long time for UConn to be called the "new" anybody. Didn't he start at UConn like a year after Fargo arrived at Colgate? Is UConn the new Colgate?
Yes, it looks like MacKenzie started one year afterward.I don't know; Chris MacKenzie has been there a long time for UConn to be called the "new" anybody. Didn't he start at UConn like a year after Fargo arrived at Colgate?
Interestingly Maya Serdachny is Danielle Serdachny's cousin -- so maybe not so close a relative, nevertheless, that it would be a question why not Colgate.I noticed a Serdachny at UConn which is a sister of the one Fargo had at Colgate. A BC player transferred to UConn.
Agreed on Ohio State. I don't think I'd go with Colgate's rise affecting BC; almost their entire roster is Canadian which has just never been our recruiting zone (so much so that back in my day we had a player from Canada and it was so remarkable that she was on the team that her nickname among the players was literally "Canada"). Northeastern is the more obvious answer but I think it's half that and half the decline of Massachusetts girls' hockey relative to, say, the Midwest. Only 7 of the USA U18 players this year were from MA which feels low.Ohio State happened to Minnesota. And I'll be the first to connect that Colgate's rise coincides with BC's fall.
I mean, pretty similar AD actions at the two schools with BC firing a basketball coach and non-renewing the other, Minnesota doing the same in hockey. So let me get this straight, Minnesota fires both the Mens (rumor) and Womens Hockey coaches in a span of 24 hours due primarily because of their respective teams "performance issues" and Blake James continues to sit on his rear end
If I am not mistaken, I believe that Minnesota has Men's Hockey, Men's BB, and Football making money...Mackenzie did get off to a slow start, but Hockey East was much a stronger conference when he started. UConn is the only collegiate program in the country to have three money making teams. (Women's Bball, Men's Bball and Football). I kind of think he has a snowball going downhill. it's just a thought, it could be off though.
