Boston College Women's Hockey 2010-2011: Schaus In Da Haus

Re: Boston College Women's Hockey 2010-2011: Schaus In Da Haus

Agian, my friend, I respectfully disagree. The laws of physics and gravity do not support your explaination. My view of the video replay doesn't match your explaination either. The photos and the video, which I have viewed and do not interpret as you, do paint a different picture. A league review would absolutely be in order, however I wouldn't hold my breath. My humble opinion which doesn't match yours. Period. Time to move on!

Good Luck in the next round. Watch out for, "What goes around," because, "It just may come back around!"

Lay off the tigers blood, eh?

Re: Boston College Women's Hockey 2010-2011: Schaus In Da Haus

Boston College senior Kelli Stack has been selected as one of three finalists for the top individual accolade in women's collegiate hockey - the Patty Kazmaier Memorial Award - according to an announcement made by USA Hockey on Thursday.

Stack is joined by senior forwards Meghan Agosta (Mercyhurst) and Meghan Duggan (Wisconsin) as finalists for the 2011 award, which is presented annually to the top player in NCAA Division I women's hockey. The 2011 Patty Kazmaier Memorial Award will be presented at a brunch ceremony on Saturday, March 19 in conjunction with the NCAA Women's Frozen Four in Erie, Pa.

One of the most decorated players in school history, Stack was honored as one of 10 finalists for the award last Thursday. Today's announcement caps a remarkable week of individual honors for Stack and success for the team.

A forward from Brooklyn Heights, Ohio, Stack captured Hockey East Player of the Year honors last Friday, scored the team's game-winning goal in overtime against Providence on Saturday and captured Hockey East Tournament MVP accolades following the program's first league title on Sunday.

She has registered 34 goals and 56 points through 34 games overall, raising her career totals to 96 goals and a school-record 207 points. Stack has accounted for 34 percent of her team's goals this season and ranks among the nation's leaders in several offensive categories.

Congratulations to Kelli all of the other finalists. Go BC!!

Re: Boston College Women's Hockey 2010-2011: Schaus In Da Haus

BC Women's Ice Hockey has elevated many notches due to the play of Ms. Stack; this year and in years past. With several Beanpot championships, a HE championship, two (soon to be 3) NCAA appearances and many school records, she has been an integral part of the growing success of the BC Women's program. In addition to her on ice skills, she has served as a great attraction for new recruits to the BC program which has experienced great success in the recruiting over the past several years and should serve BC well. Ms. Stack combined with Ms. Schaus have made an enormous contribution to the BC program. We wish both the best and in particular hope Ms. Stack brings home the Patty Kaz award. Good luck to Kelliy and Good luck to BC this weekend. GO Eagles.

Re: Boston College Women's Hockey 2010-2011: Schaus In Da Haus

Seriously have you seen Minny play lately. BC had struggled against strong goalies as in LaCasse at PC, but PC does not have anywhere near the defense and offensive firepower that UM has. I can understand blind loyalty, help me understand how you see "I think these two teams are the closest, talent wise, in the tournament field" can you support that theory. Here is what I see, MInny was ranked 3rd a week ago and they handily defeated a beat up UDM and the lost in OT to UW, a team they are supposed to lose to. BC on the other hand was rank 7th and the narrowly defeated PC and the beat Northeastern 3-1, both teams they are supposed to beat. So, Minny seems to have demonstrated they are very competitive with number 1, while BC seems to have demonstrated they are pretty close to the 9-12 teams in the country. Can you help me better understand your perspective.

BTW after an hour in my shrinks office and a prescription for Valium I am starting to accept the bracket pairings, with the exception of this one anyway :-)

At least PC's defense and offense kept it close

Re: Boston College Women's Hockey 2010-2011: Schaus In Da Haus

Prior to the Hockey East tournament, I posted about the need for BC to prove themselves and that the upcoming tournament and subsequent NCAA quarterfinals would be the stage for this moment. After yesterdays victory, I yell "Curtain call". Way to bring the (S) House down. Congrats to all...ladies, Coaches, (super) fans. Go Eagles!!!

Re: Boston College Women's Hockey 2010-2011: Schaus In Da Haus

Alright everyone. It's Gameday on the biggest day in BCWH history. Until Sunday, that is.

I don't think I can put into words how excited I am. I really wish I was at the semifinal. I will be up on Sunday.

Let's go girls... do work.

That is all.

Re: Boston College Women's Hockey 2010-2011: Schaus In Da Haus

I don't even know what to do with myself today. I am going to be completely and utterly unproductive until 5pm.
