The officiating was absolutely atrocious but that's par for the course in this league, see ND it's not just you.

UML must take the most liberal line changes in the league but hey if they're not calling it....

Wish they'd move Doherty back to D & just cycle the 3 lines + selectively playing the 4th. Don't think McMullen saw the ice tonight.

Re: Boston College Season 2014 - 2015 Thread: PART I

...I'm sure it doesn't help the team to play these home games in a morgue-like atmosphere. (Is there anywhere lese where such a big crowd makes so little noise? There must have been about 6500-7000 people there tonight, and a ton of students, and yet it was a library in there.) But that shouldn't really impact them -- the urgency of the moment should be enough...
The Whitt, although many of the fans come dressed as empty seats.

Vatrano with his 17th goal of the season tonight. We know there have been recruiting misses with the junior/senior classes but whatever the hell happened with this kid's test scores (don't remember the details)...he'd sure look nice on this team.

Was thinking the same thing tonight. 17 goals at UMass with the talent he is surrounded with there is the equivalent of what 35 at BC with 2 good linemates? Him and Milano not working out really changed the course of this season. Oh well, they avoided these things for a good majority of 15 years. It happens to everyone.

9th! By and large a good pwr night

just about every score went our way except Q rallying to tie Brown............ Not a good way to end the home part of the schedule, needed 5 of 6 points, got 3 and now off to South Bend for a dose of Sominex, gotta have a split..............they probably had to wake up the 5K at HAA the past couple of nights to let them know the games were over

Re: Boston College Season 2014 - 2015 Thread: PART I

Not to be a wet blanket but I think the current PWR would result in BC going west. BU is a 2 seed so we couldn't play them in Manchester. PC is also a 3 seed and you have to assume they end up in Providence. That would leave us as the odd team out.

Long way to go though.

You're probably right that PC gets Providence, but I think BC would draw better there.
Only one scary regional out there IMO... Fargo. I think a trip to South Bend without ND in the mix would probably be a good thing for the Eagles. I'll take that. We haven't come into the dance under the radar in years. We are under the radar this year, but first we have to qualify. That's no lock right now.

Huge game tonight. Would love to see them get back on track to how they were playing a month ago. Guess no update on Silk & Linell so we'll ahve the same nonsense. Maybe McMullen will get a shift tonight.

Saw the kid talk about Billet tonight (then said it's too big of a game), thought didn't even cross my mind. Assuming Demko's good physically has to be him every night through the end.

In the midst of a stretch of 5 games in 9 nights... not the end of the world but you probably keep Demko in there for all 5 and hope to grab a bye the next week and can really rest him up if he needs it. Tonight has big PWR implications, next week has big HE seeding implications. Not much room to maneuver.

This team fights man

Never pretty but nice response after terrible 2nd period.

Yes, happy they pulled this one out.

Again why not a full 60 minute effort at this stage of the season ? We all know they do not have the talent of the previous teams. I noticed they were badly outshot in the beginning periods and at this point, and I am just happy they will be in the tournament if their PWR stays true. But there's still 2 more games away and they need to take care of business. With this team, nothing is a sure thing.

Sure it will be nice if they can stay east but if they go west, then be happy they're 1 of 16 teams in it.

Donato again fruitless in the Beanpot

Re: Boston College Season 2014 - 2015 Thread: PART I

balsy win after the awful second period. this team continues to overachieve and we have to be pretty happy with a 19-10-3 record so on to So Bend:eek:

Re: Boston College Season 2014 - 2015 Thread: PART I

I didn't watch (because I couldn't) but it's hard to have a decent period when you spend 3/4 of it in the box.
