Boston College Offseason (Continued)

Re: Boston College Offseason (Continued)

In regard to a potential BC recruit from Essex, MA, nobody in their right mind would interpret "Look north" to mean Northeastern. Simply makes zero sense.

Hokydad, it's ok to be wrong.

Re: Boston College Offseason (Continued)

You are such a fool. You were insinuating UNH by saying "think North" on the Lowell thread. Nice backpeddling, fool.

umile and york have been very close for many years, zero chance of that happening.

it was always north, northeastern

Wow, you dance better than Fred Astaire. Too bad he didn't end up at Bama-Huntsville. I would have loved to see you work "North" into that school.

I wasn't confused at all. As for the rest of this post, put the booze down.

Steve, is that Paul for Tsongas or Falco? :p

Re: Boston College Offseason (Continued)

Another absolute $hitshow of a home schedule. It does win championships, though.

Season tix will be cheaper this year too... with fewer games.

I'd rather pay a few extra bucks to see a couple'o more games, including some quality OOC opponents.

Re: Boston College Offseason (Continued)

Has anyone heard anything about moving the games that conflict with football home games? I can't imagine they would have any game the night after football, especially not the home opener.

The Clemson game is a near-lock to be a 3:30 start on ABC unless BC really stumbles out of the gate. (Even if Clemson is just mediocre, their fan base always gets them overhyped/overrated.) BC-Clemson has been a very good game every year since the series resumed and even the ESPN idiots are calling BC a legit division contender this year.

3:30 start -> 7 PM finish... no way that would work to have hockey that night. Not a chance.

This has disaster written all over it...

You're right... No way would they play hockey at 7 pm with a 3:30 football game.

Easiest thing is to move that hockey game. If they don't, I wonder if they can ask the league to make sure this game is at noon. Even then, you'll have tailgating how many hours after the game (what was it last year for noon starts?). The game would get over about 3:30 and you could have tailgating for an hour or two at the end of the game and get people out of there unless they have hockey tickets at that time and it would work.

Re: Boston College Offseason (Continued)

You really think any college hockey program has the power to move around college football TV schedules? If Mickey Mouse and ABC want a game at 3:30 on a Saturday, it gets played at 3:30 on a Saturday, even if it was originally scheduled for a Thursday.

They may be pals off the ice, but Cody had to call UNH to cancel his visit after he committed to NU. He had to make similar calls to UMass and to bu.
