It's tough also losing Tuch but they do have 10 players coming in. At least that is what I coiunted on the incoming class.

I think they will be OK and someone like Cotton can easily fit into Tuch's spot. I think if Tuch came back as a junior he would have had a monster year.

maybe I was oblivious but did anyone else know matheson was playing some good minutes with the panthers? was watching the islanders game a couple of nights ago and did a double take.

impressive he made it this quickly

Good for him but doesn't surprise me
No one better at taking young talent and getting them NHL ready than Paul Vincent
Every team he coaches at they get better and win. Not shocking that they just broke franchise record for wins
Did same thing in Chicago, Boston, Tampa etc

Yes. Opposite point to Hokydad's post, never got the impression he got much better at BC. Didn't see him develop much here. Why not? Guy's in the NHL and doing well now. He underperformed at BC. How come BC coaches couldn't tap into that quicker?

Please explain by what definition or criteria you would use to determine getting better or under performing vs. over performing in the 3 years as an Eagle.

+18 sophomore to -4 as a junior. Getting undressed 1 on 1 by Gophers at Mariucci. More turnovers as career progressed.

Love the kid, but he didn't play like a guy one year away from the NHL as a junior IMO. Glad things worked out well for him. He already has his BC degree which is impressive as heck.

i think it's certainly fair to say he didn't progress much from his fr year.

i also think he got a million times more $hit than what was warranted. he was a good player and a good captain of a team that didn't have bc's standard of talent

True. In a lot of ways this year was similar to last year. No real identity but the higher results were pushed by good freshmen replacing meh seniors and a healthy Demko playing out of his mind.
