Boston College Hockey Thread: Frozen once again

Re: Boston College Hockey Thread: Frozen once again

You don't understand how happy I am that me and my father just found reasonable flight prices and are now officially going to Detroit.

Re: Boston College Hockey Thread: Frozen once again

A possible flight out Saturday should BC win is looking rather expensive. I recruited a couple friends to do the road trip out Friday night after work and to drive straight through to Detroit arriving Saturday morning. Crashing at the hotel for a few hours then getting ready for the game Saturday night. Driving back early Sunday morning. Sounds a little crazy but I'm willing to do it.

out of curiosity what counts as reasonable? If I go it'll have to be for Sat. only. I priced some flights to DTW and some nearby places (YQG, FNT, TOL, even CLE and BUF). The best I could do was something like $230 into PIT or $170 into BUF.

We are flying into Chicago for $230 (round trip) on Thursday morning and making the drive-up to Detroit (5 hours). Sure it sucks the we gotta drive a bit, but its better than spending $550-$700 on a flight in.

Re: Boston College Hockey Thread: Frozen once again

Double posting this from Detroit thread because I am desperate!

Final plea - looking for ride to Plymouth, MI (~30 min) for game 4 of Windsor Spitfires vs. Plymouth Whalers (OHL). The Spits are the defending Memorial Cup champions and are up by 2 games (game 3 is tonight).

The rosters:
http://www.plymouthwhalers.com/players.html - Ryan Hayes vs.http://www.windsorspitfires.com/roster.php - Kenny Ryan

It should be a great game and I will be allowed to shoot it IF I can get there and obviously I need to let them know ASAP.

Please!!!

-Melissa

FYI, per the Globe:

Barring a last minute snag in negotiations, Boston College will hire Cornell coach Steve Donahue as its next men's basketball coach, according to sources familiar with the situation.

also reported by Jon Meterparrel on WEEI at about 8 this morning that he was in for second interview and looks like he's the guy. I am happy with this.
