Boston College Hockey, Part II

Re: Boston College Hockey, Part II

Jizzmonkey? Ouch..that hurt.

I keep reminding myself you are only a UVM fan whose program is known for hazing than anything theyve done on the ice. The idea of a UVM talking garbage is laughable at best. It really is too bad UVM came to Hockey East because your team really adds zero to the conference besides another backwater school full of subzero SAT score laden students whose heads are full of dried bong water.

Anyhow, you'll disappear faster than a straight coed on the UVM campus come Friday, so I guess the good folks here will have to tolerate you for a few more days.

Wow, kudos on working every stereotype into a single post.

Jcarter, you see the problem with you is this: you're not very smart. You lack the wherewithall to really joust here because you are the mental equal to a retarded kid with a pinwheel sitting in a shopping cart.

Please go home and come back to the Boston College Hockey thread down the road when you are a little older. Until then, please enjoy playing with your "jizzmonkey" up there in the mountains.

Re: Boston College Hockey, Part II

Muse or Milner? Muse is battle tested and has proven success in big games. Milner has been good and brings a more athletic game to the table, but I say Muse. When he is on, he has a way of playing hard in a very calming way. Obviously he was really good in BC's last garden appearance.

UVM is a good draw due to the result of season series. BC cannot be over confident when a team took the season series from them. However, the blowout win gives them enough confidence to know they can beat them handily. Anything can happen, but I like the draw.

Re: Boston College Hockey, Part II

Its really not a hard decision at all.

Muse should be in net for the rest of the season.

Re: Boston College Hockey, Part II

The only reason to play Milner, IMHO, is if you don't think Muse can handle the stress of playing two games a weekend with his hip. This is single elimination hockey, play your best hand. Sorry Parker, that's the guy with the playoff resume.

Re: Boston College Hockey, Part II

I'm not sure why people are still worried about the hip injury. Obviously with Mike Lowells heavily publicized problems last year it's understandable, but there is a lot of difference between a 36 year old corner infielder and a 21 yr old goalie. As far as I know, his hip is fine and healthier then it ever was the first two years he was at BC. I know for a fact he followed his rehab program exactly as prescribed in order to be ready for october.

Then why the Milner experiment? As long as I've been following BC they've used one goalie - from Clemmensen to Matti to Schneider to Muse. Muse just went through surgery. The way I see it, they're either trying to rest Muse or they are breaking a 10+ year pattern by platooning.

My standardized test scores would argue otherwise, but you are entitled your opinion.
Do you have anything you would actually like to add to a discussion. You know...... other then the slander.

Unfortunately, said "stereotypes" aren't "stereotypes" if they are true. When they are true, those are what we call "facts."

But they aren't true.

If your standardized test scores were anything above freezing, you would have attended a better school than Vermont U. Best I can tell, standard test scores in Vermont are based on how quickly one could milk "Bessy". By the sound of it, you likely failed due to the fact you tried to milk a male horse instead in error.

I asked you to go home and come back when you could sound smarter but unfortunately you failed miserably and I'm embarrassed for both of us. One thing you did achieve, though, is defining 'irony'. A clearly uneducated Elephant Walker U. fan asking someone on another team's thread if they had "anything to add to this discussion" would certainly be what Websters had in mind under its definition.

Maybe you should go back to the playground and play with the UML fans on their thread.

Getting into UVM has nothing to do with standardized testing....because they accept everyone on a "trial" basis. If you get a good enough GPA they let you stay otherwise they give you the boot.

Imagine getting kicked out of UVM for failing?

Well there is also that other section about how to properly roll a spliff.

Re: Boston College Hockey, Part II

Oh my God, is this true?! Ahahahahaha

That is what my friend from Vermont told me...you know one of the smart ones, who got out of there...I wouldn't know for sure because I never even for a second thought of applying there so I haven't done my research.

But it certainly sounds like a UVM thing. :p

Not entirely true.

They've split guys before. Matti and Kelleher played 18 and 20 games respectively in 01-02. The next year they had 30 and 11 respectively. And 2 years later Matti was splitting time with Schneider 24 games to 18.

Matti and Schneider rotated in the '04-'05 season. Matti had 22 starts, Schneider 18.

IMO, Milner isn't/wasn't an experiment. Muse looked very vulnerable for a stretch after the Beanpot, and Milner looked darn good (check out the box scores since the Beanpot). I feel very comfortable with either of them getting starts from here on out. I think either goaltender gives us an equal chance to win.

My guess is the staff will favor Milner against a team with snipers. Just a guess.
