It's just Boston on the front of the jersey.

Personally, I don't like "Boston U". Would you guys like "Boston C"? It just doesn't work for me. BU or Boston University. BC or Boston College. Acronym or full name, not a combo of both. I don't know of any other school referred to as a combo. Could be wrong though. Have any of you heard of other school names like that?

There's a bunch of U {state or city name} around, like U Albany. Can't think of one with the U or C after, but I put about 35 seconds of thought into it.

No one uses "C", I'm pretty sure the equivalent abbreviation is Coll. I don't care if someone refers to us as Boston Coll... I'm pretty sure that's what ESPN refers to us as on the Bottom Line®™.

But upon further review, you're right, can't think of a case where someone is called {something} U. Then again, what other cases would it be necessary, with a similarly named school nearby?

I agree on the first part but not on the second. Quite frankly, I think BU's skates will be in storage by the time Saturday night's game commences. BU may have won the season series with Maine 2-1, but that has no bearing on the game between them on Friday.

Define year......rest of the season ? Rest of 2010?

What do you have to offer? Nothing as far as I can tell. I would say you have to stop being such a tool for the rest of the year, but I don't think you can control it, nor do I believe you actually would anyways.

So the deal is :

If BC wins I don't post in any BC thread until after the NC game.

and if UVM wins you roll me a blunt??? Not all of us at UVM are potheads. No dice. How about you give me positive rep every time I post, stop fixing typos and grammar in my posts and just in general stop being a doush bag all the time (in regards to me and my posts.) You can be a flamer to everyone else. For the rest of the season.

But a clarification first, if BC were to win what happens if there is a thread that includes both teams. Hypothetically for example they both make the tourney and have to play each other? Or a regional thread they are both in ? Etc. That would obviously be a "BC thread" but there is no way you could expect me not to post?

I accept your deal. If there is an NCAA matchup between the two, the deal is null and void in the run-up to that game.

So to finalize :

BC wins, no jcarter on any BC threads until after the NC game.

UVM wins SuperJoe has to go out of his way to be nice until after the NC game.

A UVM / BC matchup that occurs after this saturday and before said NC would be exempt from this agreement. And of course any threads and discussions prior to Fridays match up is fair game.

Deal ??


What happens if you don't hold up your end of the bargain?

But...it is "Boston U." I think they only reason it isn't referred to as merely "Boston" is because of BC. Trust me, I've heard much more derogatory descriptions of Boston University than "Boston U." ;)

I keep reminding myself you are only a UVM fan whose program is known for hazing than anything theyve done on the ice. The idea of a UVM talking garbage is laughable at best. It really is too bad UVM came to Hockey East because your team really adds zero to the conference besides another backwater school full of subzero SAT score laden students whose heads are full of dried bong water.

Anyhow, you'll disappear faster than a straight coed on the UVM campus come Friday, so I guess the good folks here will have to tolerate you for a few more days.

I'm pretty sure "Jizzmonkey" was Corey Latulippe's nickname in Burlington, but I could be wrong.
