I've already begun to pay it forward financially for the current group of BC student diehards :p

awww, come on TTT20:confused:...........the rivalry is like no other but no respect for the Terriers?? to me that is an epic fail, if you will. As an Eagle i will cut you some slack and mostly because you are young and really ONLY know BC on top of the rivalry, save for one year and the Beanpot:eek: I can however speak for people a lot older than you (BC '78) who up until the last decade + only know getting our heads handed to us year after year by BU. Perhaps if you lived through that you would have a different opinion..............hit the history books to see who ruled this rivalry for 30 years.........so, enjoy this, it wasn't always so

I respect some of the BU players, especially the local ones. That being said, I have zero respect for Jack Parker.

Wait, so is that a promise to send us to St. Paul this year (if we are so lucky)?
Heh... when I have enough money to do that, there will be a women's hockey specific arena at BC named after Molly Schaus paid for by yours truly.

No. None. I hate them.

Nothing get my blood curdling more than just walking into Agganis and seeing all those effing scarlet rags on all those pathetic BC rejects. Nothing.

well, when i was a recent grad i always said that if BU was playing the Soviet Union, i'd root for the Soviets but respect for their hockey program is, IMO a different matter........anyway, does Milner ever start again for this 2010-2011 Eagles team? and if he does, would Friday night be the night?

I think they might play Milner for some of the home games against a few of the lesser opponents-- Lowell, UMass, Providence, Northeastern. Maybe sprikle in an away game against Lowell or UMass, as well.

I think that a lot of people lack respect for BU due to the BU fans and students rather than the program. They certainly seem to have an arrogance to them. I happen to think that those who have lived through this rivalry when BU was on top have the most disrespect for BU more than the newcomers. The hockey program at BU including Jack Parker have always been top-notch. I might not disrespect BU as much as a number of other BC faithful do, as I even rooted for them to win the championship a couple of years ago when BC didn't make it that far, but that's only because I have even less respect for the central collegiate hockey fans and in particular their promoters.

I have a lot of respect for York. He seems like a good coach, from what I can gather.

Sure, if you think a 'good coach' can win 3 national titles in 10 years and take his team to 7 Frozen Fours in that duration...(shakes head). Yeah, he's not bad.

i think you should lighten up on him:), he confessed he is a newbie and not from these parts. seems like you read all the stuff everywhere so i would have thought you saw his second post on that..........

you have an interesting point of view but i think the opposite way as one who lived through those years. I greatly respect the BU hockey program and they had a pretty fair coach before Parker(I'm intentionally omitting Abbott). I can however understand how you think that way after thinking about it myself. :D BC was on top for the first decade (I am using Year 1 as the first Beanpot year) then BU basically until York . As far as the arrogance of their fans and students, well i think i've heard people say that about the other Comm ave school,;) not that I agree one iota of course.:D The funny thing about arrogance is that you aren't ever perceived as that if you are a loser. It's only the fan bases and or students of teams on top that are considered arrogant, i wonder why THAT is?;)

Actually, Sterlippo, I haven't read anything else from him.

I dont find BU fans arrogant at all, quite the opposite. I find them to have a significant inferiority complex towards BC. You want to test this theory? Walk up to a BU alum/student, pretend to be from out of town and ask him/her if Doug Flutie went to BU. It's actually quite funny...

You're right. "No, he went to BC" is hilarious. I can't stop laughing.

I was thinking Saturday night, but now that I think about it more, playing him at home might make more sense. Either way, I think there's a good chance he gets a game this weekend.

Couldn't care less about this argument, just a question for you. Obviously you're a BU reporter, but did you grow up a BU fan? Attend BU?
