its funny you should say that Zudnic. That is exactly what i did tonight lol that and drive to jfk airport. but i have a boatload of handwarmers and im ready for hockey!

3-0 BU so far at Fenway. Dreadful showing for the Eagles, although there's 28 minutes left to go.

For BC, this second half of the season is starting off horribly.

Kudos to BU for apparently turning it around after the break.

I'm going to withhold from saying all that I want to say about that stupid gag event last night, because it would appear like sour grapes because BC lost. But I can assure you, regardless of the result last night, I am not going to any more outdoor college hockey games ever again for any reason.

Bring on Tuesday.

I'd say my seats in box 161, row CC were pretty good compared to a lot of the seats I could have ended up with. Only problem was we couldn't see the bottom of the goal where BC shot twice. Very cool seeing a full house when some people scoffed at that being a possibility...

As for the game itself...what can you say? The BC team we're used to seeing was there in the 3rd period, but that's not enough to win. The penalty at the end seemed like a joke, but it didn't help that they couldn't get Muse off the ice when the puck was in the other end. That killed all chances. Not sure what happened there.

Muse wasn't good enough and neither was the PP. Hopefully with the Denver trip and now this out of the way, they can get back to doing what they did first semester...

BC took a PWR nosedive in the last few weeks. They can't really afford anything less than five points in these three games.

It'll be nice to finally have a real homestand. Let's hope the team starts it off right with a big win on Tuesday. Baby steps.

little did we know that the game Friday night counted as the HE championship game and that the NCAA is has also decided to award the championship trophy to BU as well.

congrats on your two points, you guys won a couple in a row now? win one more and that's called a winning streak.. it has happened before. lots of squaking from fans of team whose coach was dumping on them two weeks ago and who still need a lot of help to even make the tourney this year

BC has lost three games, in a row. But at least we didn't lose 2 straight to Robert Morris.

amazing Miami lost to them twice....................we need a good solid effort tomorrow, tight defense and better play in between the pipes. Muse made some nice saves friday but all 3 goals were of the soft/fluke variety

This team has had a rough couple weeks, but it's 3 games and we certainly weren't expecting the start BC had, so things are evening out expectation wise. What I like is that after not showing up for the first half of the game, they still managed to make it a game. A good BU team blows them out. BC has to prove to themselves that they can play for 3 periods. There's been multiple games when they can't close teams out and there's been games, like the fenway game, where they don't show up for the first half. To still make it a contest and not fold it in, is commendable. It won't win you trophies, but it's a good sign for a young team. (remember this is still a very young team)

I'm looking forward to conference action heating up, as this is the time to make a run. The holiday tourney's and "gag event's" are over, time to focus on climbing the ladder in the conference.

Where is all the squawking? Perhaps after the game in person, which I can't speak to since I am in Georgia. However, on these boards, all I've seen is a fan base hoping that their play since the new year is a sign of improved play that could make the second half actually worth watching. Seems to me the reasonable fans feel that BC is a better team than BU, even if BU has "turned the corner". BU has potential, as they did when they were picked to win the conference. But that potential has not played out on the ice at all, and I think BU fans have more than admitted that the team has played like crap. The last two games have merely provided hope.
