Re: Boston College Hockey 2009-2010

Hokydad, my assertion is that BC does not pander to that advisor garbage.

Could you tell me why someone like Adam Pineault was riding the pine at BC while other players not on full scholarships were playing? Do you have any theories? I do. It's because he didn't work hard and the team was better off with him on the bench. Curious to see what you think about that.

Re: Boston College Hockey 2009-2010

We have 6 scholorship Dmen, several who are NHL draft picks. then we have a recruited walk on with his hat in hand. Not an even playing field, they always give benfit of coubt to scholorship/drafted players.

There is no question that the advisors talk to the coaches, always dropping hints about major junior etc.
I have heard many times where D 1 coaches say family advisors have ruined relationships between coaches and teams. Petrecki last year is a perfect example.

BC is no different

Ok fair enough.

I do though agree that York does what is best and I doubt he gets manipulated. he is clearly above that

But wait, I thought you said he was manipulated by the advisors and gives the benefit of the doubt the the drafted players.

Pineault in fairness might be a bad example. Came in to young, his farther set in the stands and watched practices( a hair strange) and he didnt fit in. He should have been on the bench and the team was better off wthout him.

I believe that BC does not pander to it as well, I do though feel they get the calls. We are on the same page, I am going to lose this argument.

A better point would have simply been that family advisors do disrupt relationships between coaches and players by filling their head with BS, Pineault being the perfect example

Re: Boston College Hockey 2009-2010

"I will bet you any amout of money you want that some of these players with advisors talk with BC coaches 5-10 times a season. the old, just checking in to see how the development is coming along, before the hints get dropped.

It is not just BC but college hockey"

**This is completely different than what you first said on the topic.

OK then

Aww, you thought unsigned rep would be a nice hit and run. Funny things is, it's pretty clear who sent it because I get a nice grey box from you.

Keep regurgitating your own inane opinions

Get a crystal ball next time candy striper, wouldnt waste my time leaving an opinion of you

Re: Boston College Hockey 2009-2010

You say this as if it's common knowledge. Please enlighten us on what happened. I'm not saying these people don't call coaches, etc. I'm saying York does what's best for his hockey team..

Not true at all. He got himself banned for talking about sexual stuff and kids. If he didnt write it, they wouldnt have banned him.
