BOSTON COLLEGE 2025 - 2026

Very confused by the BC schedule- Why would they schedule a non conference tourney game which really affects NPI during world junior
tournament. Missing Hagens and Stiga is certainly not a positive and they could have lost Moore and Skahan
These games affect all of hockey east for teams getting into tourney
You know you are going to lose players every year to world junior so don"t play any games
While it would have been nice for Moore and Skahan to make the WJC team, it certainly is better for BC that they did not. 28 players for the 25-man team are left but it is not that uncommon that a player would still be added to the roster before it becomes official. Western Michigan does not have any players on the roster but if BC gets past them and likely plays Wisconsin, the Badgers as well will be shorthanded perhaps as much as BC. They have 2 defensemen on the USA roster. Losing two key defensemen that spend more time on the ice may even hurt more.

Another 6 pt weekend. Again give credit to these guys for getting off the mat after a bad start, they are in a good spot now going into Christmas and the tournament now looms LARGE.

Honestly wasn't that great of a game overall and Cloutier stole this one. A rough and tumble game with bodies flying all over the place; Lowell was clearly intent on being physical tonight and a lot of post-whistle nonsense. Several guys went down but returned - Dean, Conmy, Radivojevic on the slewfoot. The ensuing 5 minute PP sucked and almost came back to bite them and Gallanty and Connelly were right BC started it off with not enough urgency to put the game away. The Dean goal was huge as the game was very much in doubt. The penalty call after he got up was terrible but I still love that he has the power forward mentality to shove a goal in the top corner and then shove it back in the UML player that knocked him down.

More shot blocks all over the place. Minnetian is ridiculous with the shot blocks every night.

Need to get Stiga going and get Gasseau (which will help with faceoffs immensely) and Jellvik healthy and could do some damage.

The ability and talent of the secondary guys is crazy up front. Vote has been really good now that he is healthy again and Sondreal continues to impress. Resendes is a nice addition and will get better by 2nd semester and Dean has turned into a machine.

Davey was in for Traeger tonight, not sure if that was due to injury or just getting Davey another game as he can be expected to be called upon in the upcoming tournament with Stiga and Hagens playing for the USA and M Hagens maybe moving back to D with Radivojevic (another nice pickup) playing for Slovakia.

HE officiating remains terrible.

BC up to 15th in the NPI. UML is not a good team but you have to win road games in this league and that's always difficult. Finish the job and get to 10 wins tomorrow and the program is back in business setting up a big holiday tournament that could make or break things.

Solid road win but the third period wasn't great. Once UML scored they got jumpy and it turned into a shooting gallery. Need to work on composure and settling the game back down as they tend to get rattled and can't make the passes they need to. They had UML locked down solidly for two periods and then couldn't quite control the play. I'm not sure I've ever seen a BC team this committed to blocking shots - it's impressive because eating pucks absolutely sucks and these guys do it anyway.

Sondreal 3 assists, Dean 2 PPGs, Hagens with an off-wing bomb.

Will Vote has been looking REAL good the past few games. Cloutier glove save in the 2nd period was a game-changer and BC went up 2-0 not long after that.

29-21 on faceoffs, a good improvement.

Bring toys tomorrow. They brought their toys!

I think a problem is the after whistle hitting and the opposition tries to antagonize/instigate BC into the retaliation which usually is called on BC.

UML 10 SOG the whole game is excellent. But the UML goal seem preventable and I couldn't really see what happen sitting way at the other end of the rink. And they never show the replay on the screen.

Good chance to sweep against this UML team this year. By reason of logic, BC should win this game but you never know.

Pain in the @@@ leaving that garage and it takes forever to get into it unless you get there really early. Let's see if BC can end the 1st half on a good note at 10-5-1

That would really be a coup if Hemmer enters into picture in the 2nd half

UML got more shots on net tonight & netted their only tally at the end of a PP. They get away with a lot of after the whistle hits.

BC failed to score on the major for the slewfooting was fustrating to watch. With Hagens & Stiga out, hopefully Gasseau & Jelvik will be able to take their spots in the tournament. BC ends the first half on a good note at 10-5-1

When lowell went down 2-0 they got frustrated and just wanted to get into scrums. Second period they focused on hockey and played better, had a lot of chances in front of the net but Luka was up to the task. He made some great saves and BC got some lucky bounces. Sondreal had a great week end, Comry with a helper. DL has really stepped up, playing great hockey, week end hat trick. Good week end, holding steady in HE, NU continues to win and BU doesn't and UNH takes two from Maine at Alfond, that why they make you play he games.

Yea even last year people were taking runs at Hagens after the whistle. With Leonard gone, he's targeted even more. And he's doesn't like to walk away most of the time. They need to come up with a way to manage these situations.

It said a lot that Resendes went over and had a "conversation" with the UML playing leaving the penalty box at the end of a period.

As of today, playoffstatus chances of making the NCAA tournament:
NU - 69%
BC - 48%
Yukon - 37%
PC - 24%
UNH - 23%
Maine - 13%
BU - 12% (remember when they were #1 in the country?)
UMass - 4%

Havard is looking decent early so perhaps the Beanpot Rd1 game will be a good opportunity for BC to win another OOC game. Obviously these next two games are critical.

Resendes is my favorite Freshmen, he goes full tilt when his skates touch the ice. Needs to find the balance between aggressiveness and recklessness. Plays a different style than Kuntar but he has the wrecking ball mindset. We have some heavyweights out there that should be able to protect guys like Stiga and Hagens. Need Gasseau back in the line up.
