USHR reporting he was at the Sunday BC-Maine game and canceled his visits to BU and UNH...I presume after that game and his couple days in the area. ;)

He was also being recruited by Maine, Colorado College, Michigan State and Bemidji State.

so NESN has the attractive Quinnipiac at UMass-Amherst game on saturday night rather than The Mack at UNH??:confused::confused::confused::confused:

Agreed, although I know NESN tries to get all the new england teams on there at least once throughout the season.

I believe Quinnipiac has a contract with NESN, as Tuesday night, the Princeton and QU game was on NESN. They have had a contract with NESN for a while so this could be part of it.

well, we know BU does as half the games on NESN involve the Terriers but question whether TWO teams would have a contract with NESN..........

wow, cool, point for you;) wonder how that all came about? maybe because its the other conference or because of geography? it can't be because they have a big fan following like BU, no disrespect intended. you were all over that, kudos

Quinnipiac has really been making serious attempts to build their reputation, academically and athletically since the mid-90s. This is about the third or fourth year they have had a contract with NESN. I'm sure they pay NESN to broadcast their games or NESN pays them less to broadcast the games than NESN would BU. In other words, QU is willing to lose money/pay a little to broadcast these games in attempts to showcase their school, get the name out there.

Nope probably not. We will probably always be the lowly doormat of HE to them. Couldn't you tell by Whitney's lunge out of the bench to attack a merrimack player from behind? The last few minutes where BC was taking all sorts of gross penalties it just screamed "I can't believe we're losing a season series to....Merrimack".

kudos to whitney. don't root for bc except against merrihack, but i have to applaud him for doing what i'm pretty sure a lot of hockey east players would like to do.

Or "If we're gonna lose, we might as well give them a dose of their own cheap shot medicine." I know I'm supposed to be unbiased here, but I kind of agree with Redd- as long as no one gets seriously injured, I'm glad to see someone dishing it out to Merrimack instead of the other way around for once. They've had it coming for too long.

To the person who neg repped me for this- I never said BU was clean or never does anything dirty. In fact, I don't see where I brought BU into this at all. I'll call any team or any player out for being dirty, and I've done that with BU more than a few times. I've just seen a lot more dirty plays from Merrimack than any other team I've watched in my 4 years of following HE closely. I think most HE fans would probably agree with me on that.

MC's national championship win over BC got BU on the front page again... though not exactly in the most glowing of circumstances this time

I laughed when I saw that. There were two pro photogs at the game too, one had strobes set up, I'm surprised there wasn't a pic from the game posted as the front
