I'm saying that SCSU has STUNK on the road, too, 3-2-2??? and maybe if they played more than 2 Ranked teams in 3 games on the road, they might not be #1 anymore.

Seeing as they are only 2-2-1 vs Top 10 teams and 0-2 vs Top 5 teams

Minnesota is 2-2 vs Top 5 teams.


SCSU's best win, a HOME game vs #6 UND is matched by Minnesota ALSO beating UND, but ON THE ROAD.

But that isn't even Minny's best win, Minny has TWO wins over #3 Clarkson.


Something Minnesota has proven that SCSU hasn't, is that it can beat a Top 5 ranked team.

And if I suffered brain damage as a child? Well, didn't stop me from getting invited to West Point or my getting A's in all of my upper level courses in college.

My guess is that 90% or more of you are college hockey ONLY kind of people.

I'd be in the 10% that is not college hockey only. And being a cbb fan, I can tell you that the vast majority of cbb fans know, or at least think, that the RPI is a garbage rating system, probably THE WORST ever invented, and the # of those who think that way is a number probably 10 times as large as the # of people who follow college hockey.

And the NCAA is going to completely dump the RPI rating system, officially, after this season I believe? And they have stated publicly for years that they do not look only at the RPI when determining who makes the NCAA field and where to seed them.


But college hockey fans for some reason don't seem to understand that the PWR rating system is basically nothing more than a complicated way of presenting the RPI. Don't believe me? Go look at the RPI rankings and see if they don't match the PWR up and down, from #1 to #60, EXACTLY, and its been that way almost every year for the past couple. If not exactly, almost so.


So yes, NCAA Hockey people use the PWR, so basically the RPI to determine who makes the NCAA tournament. But that was NOT what we were discussing, was it?

But anyone who thinks the PWR or RPI is an accurate system for determining who the best team in the country is, IS A MORON!!! Or got dropped on their heads, FOR REAL.

Hey slappy, everyone in here knows that the PWR is pretty much the RPI. You aren't dropping any knowledge bombs. And whatever you think of the method, it's the only one that matters.

It's the only method for determining who gets into the NCAA tourney, yes. But not the only method of trying to figure out which teams are the best.

And that is what I was contesting, whether or not SCSU was the best team in the country.

And you know if the situations were reversed he'd be prasing the PWR...as anything that fits his narrative as the Gophers as the best ever is all that matters.

That SCSU is 0-2 vs Top 5 teams this season?
That SCSU has played a much weaker schedule than Minnesota?
That SCSU hasn't produced much of anything in the way of NHL talent recently?
That SCSU is NOT ranked #1 in the Krach or the Massey ratings?

What does it say about you that you felt the need to insult me personally??? And to continue doing so? I don't remember insulting you? Not going to say I haven't responded with an insult yet, I just don't remember doing so, and if I did, it was only in response to someone else insulting me first and if I did, I apologize. Not sure why I would apologize as I am 99% convinced that you will never stop. I will say that it is my opinion that the majority of the time a person resorts to insults it is out of weakness of some kind. A weak argument or a weak character maybe?

Jeez, even if I cared about JBSU I don't think I could be as hatred-obsessed as this. And that's saying something.
