Biden v Dump 1: If not now, when? If not us, who?

He has a mental disorder; his brain is wired wrong.

But how can his supporters (1) be so stupid they can't see that, and (2) approve of what he says even though their brains are not wired wrong?

Dump is a malignant narcissist, but every Republican voter isn't.

Dump is a sociopath, but every Republican voter... well, I'm not so sure. After all, they do self-select.

That's not how I read it. I read that Madison has 189k registered voters, and has received 93k early votes: about 50%. I don't know why they haven't sent absentees to 70k registered voters.

Why would they send them if the registered voter did not request one? You are not automatically sent an absentee/mail-in ballot in WI. I think he is just noting that 83% of all the requested ballots have been used and we still have a week and half to go. I am betting this is a much, much higher percentage of returned ballots (83% of what was requested) at this stage than in past elections. Turnout in Madison looks like it will be sky high.

Biden up 3 points in this poll. In Texas.

In 2018 Democrats probably had 2 governor's mansions and a senate seat stolen from them in Georgia and Florida. Getting off our as ses and voting in huge numbers is the only choice we have (well, the only acceptable choice to most of you) so I hope you are all still pushing your friends and family hard on making plans to vote. There is still time. But encourage early, in-person voting. We are probably to the point on the calendar where mail-in ballots are getting to be kind of iffy.

Texas, along with Florida and Georgia, are all states where I think more people are going to vote for Biden than for trump, but are all states where republican efforts at suppression and count tampering will be off the charts. I think the chances for violence will be substantially higher on November 3rd too, so please vote early.

Then on November 3rd, volunteer at a local AFL-CIO district council with their GOTV efforts, or your local Democratic party headquarters. If you are not sure where to go, ask a friend who is in a union, or call one of the candidates. Or check with your local county election officials and see if they still need any extra help on election day at the polls. I know it is scary dealing with coronavirus but this election is literally a life and death situation. I'm not willing to get sick just so WalMart can stay open, but I am willing to do anything at all to vote or to help someone else vote.

NH Union Leader has never endorsed a Democrat for president.

They just endorsed Joe Biden.

In normal times, trump would lose all 50 States and D.C. and lose the popular vote by a margin larger than even the margins in 1984, 1972 or 1964. We no longer live in normal times.

White people have doubled down on their bigotry. Very few of us can admit we were wrong. People no longer either understand the concept of critical thought or are too lazy to comprehend spending a little time with critical thought. Social media (and all the ancillary aspects of it) have, at warp speed really, corrupted the brains of tens of millions of potential voters. The YouTube video posted earlier (by JimJamesAK I believe) about how undecided voters look to some of us is in fact a 100% accurate look and take of how American voters act, albeit with a comical angle.

Jesus...she is like a pod person. His own "Yes Men" dont sound that indoctrinated.

Economy sucked for 8 years prior to him, he made it the best economy in the world, COVID killed it and now we need to open up. Remind me never to work an event she plans...

She sounds like 99% of all of trump's voters. Blind, stupid, and vacant. Absolutely incapable of a critical thought because that critical thought may inform her she was mistaken last time around and mistaken about a few of her assumptions.

She is the logical conclusion to 45 years of the increasingly appalling indoctrination of the American right. First by the influence of Reaganomics beginning after the 1976 election and then his own election in 1980, followed by the rise and eventual ubiquity of right-wing talk radio, then the birth of an even more insidious cult of right wing talk TV and topped off by the ease of spreading of their false narratives via social media and all that attaches itself to that phenomenon, like comments sections in most online news sources.

Had Nixon come along to win the presidency in 2008 instead of 1968 and committed all of the exact same transgressions in office as he did between January 20, 1969 and August 8, 1974, he never would have resigned because he sure as hell would have known he wasn't going to be removed by the senate. He would still have the approval of 99% of all of the people who voted for him (in actuality he lost the support of more than half the people who voted for him) and would likely finish out two full terms and retire to become even richer than he did anyway.
