Granted, not everyone returns their absentee ballots, but to put these numbers into perspective, the total number of absentee ballot requests in 2016, which includes early in-person votes, was a shade under 700,000, with roughly 650,000 total absentee ballots received (out of 1.6 million total ballots cast). At the time in-person voting started in 2016, there were approximately 200,000 requests made.

As of today's start to absentee voting, there are already 650,000 requests, half of which are from registered Dems even though they only make up ~1/3rd of the electorate.

This is going to be an election unlike any other.
 
Detroit News just released their post-debate poll, Biden’s lead is up from 5 to 9 points in MI over the last month.
