Just got done voting on the first day of early voting in Iowa. First time doing so in this county. Not a fan of the touchscreen system versus the traditional fill-in-the-bubble scantron sheets. It worked fine, but the receipt it prints out with just your choices just feels less official than the full ballot.

No lines, was in and out in 10 minutes.

Go vote.
 
My career is in IT, and I also hate the idea of digitizing the ballots in any way. Pen and paper for life.

Put mine in the drop box at the city clerk's office yesterday.
 
The vote segment from Last Week Tonight makes it abundantly clear - vote as early as possible and if it's mail in especially make sure you cross at T's and dot all I's. These fu***rs are going to do everything they can to cast doubt on any election result.

The right has decided that it's better to vote in person, while the left has decided the opposite. I happen to side with the left on this one (and most COVID-related things), but early returns suggesting that Biden is leading should be assumed.

Democratic voters are traditionally earlier voters than republicans. I’d have to think that’s magnified this year especially.
 
I cannot believe he's leaving he hospital. I wonder how long till he plans another rally. I'm so stunned. What a terrible and irresponsible thing to post. Biden better get those negative ads back on the air ASAP.

Yeah...even leaving aside the stupidity of it from a health perspective he is re-opening himself up to every attack that had been somewhat tamed down because of his illness. The second he leaves the hospital its hunting season again. Any sympathy he got will die on the vine and he is shining a strobe light on the very thing he can't afford to be front and center...his irresponsibility with the disease. And now he is doubling down because he himself had it and has gone against every proper protocol for it.
 
I expect the NY Times to push the publish button around 4 PM CDT today on their first major follow-up story to the blockbuster tax release.
