Nothing else going on? Sounds like the entire upper midwest to me.EZ explaination...LOONNNNNNGGGGG history and let's face it, there is absolutely NOTHING else in the North Country going on. Probably draws like 80% of the local population to the games. Can anywhere else claim THAT?
I'm not discrediting them in the sense that I don't think they're rivalries. But like I said, if there are Minnesota fans who would say that one or the other is not even their school's biggest rivalry, then I don't see how either can be the biggest in the whole sport.
What about Colorado College vs Denver. They are one of the best out there as well...
If you can't make up your mind then neither one is.If a UND fan is asking a MN fans says UW is our biggest rival and if a UW fan asks then it's UND.![]()

BU and BC get a ton of exposure with the Beanpot, Hockey East games, York/Parker, and they are about 8 miles apart.
Yeah, that's probably top tier as well. I didn't immediately think of that one but it's certainly right up there with UM-UND, BU-BC, and CU-SLU.
Clarkson and St Lawrence is a RIVALRY? .
I really don't get that reasoning, either. Just because a team has two intensely heated rivals, neither one of them must be an intensely heated rivalry?
