UND v. UMinn because college hockey was born in Grand Forks and gradually moved into Minnesota as less hardy Norwegian stock was forced to move back eastward where there were more warm floors and soft blankets.

A remember a few years ago some of the players from college hockey who I believe were all Jewish, such as Nathan Davis from Miami, went to Israel and played a few games. There is a story about it on YouTube it's pretty cool to see how hockey is there.

*ing Goddammit I *ing hate UND. I mean, I hate WI, too, but not like I hate UND. Something on the level of the last circle of hell.

This UMN-UND/UW this has obviously been argued to death. Every time it comes up I find that the relatively younger fans (myself included) tend to see UND as our biggest rival while the older generation tends to go with UW. Of course there are exceptions but it just seemed to be the trend I noticed.

The way I look at it is UND/UMN/UW. It's a 3 way rivalry and everyone hates each other (with few exceptions), and all three are usually in national title talks year in and year out, which definitely adds to the intensity.

The best part about college sports is the rivalries. Not one of them, all of them.
