Bentley University Hockey 2015-2016: The Quest for 60-Minute Hockey

Re: Bentley University Hockey 2015-2016: The Quest for 60-Minute Hockey

Bump up to page 1. Gladiuk now has 4 goals, including 3 PPGs. For those who saw the games, did Bentley do anything differently with their PP in games against NU than they did in games against Mercyhurst? Bentley tied with NU and UNH in PWR, for what that is worth this early in the season. But, Bentley is doing its share in getting AHC some needed OOC wins.

They took their time, held possession and moved the puck. They waited for their chances, made tape to tape passes and executed. It was a complete 180 from last weekend.

Great interview with Coach Soderquist on the USCHO.COM Live blog. He confirmed a lot of things floating around.

-14 scholarships, league max
-Arena progress continues, more announcements later this season
-Argue was en fuego this weekend

Weird having a bye weekend so early in the season? Will be ok if the momentum from last weekend can be carried into next weekend on the road against Army at West Point and in NYC. And, maybe Max French will be back?

Good to have French back, eh?

Need 2 points in Brooklyn tomorrow.

The only redeeming part of that tie is they came back from down 2-0.

Curious how many students will make the trip to Brooklyn. I spoke to a few about it last week, and the night before Halloween killed it for many. Can't say as I blame them. I do believe the NYC alumni chapter has a group going.

Is there a ticket office at the Jar that one can walk up to and get tickets? If so anyone know the hours?

No ticket office; just show up. Or, you could call Bentley's Phys Ed Department. Only one game has ever sold out, which was a week ago Saturday night against NU. Perhaps arrive a half hour early to get your choice of seats and watch pre-game warm ups.

Both goals by French were beauties, especially the second goal, a great single handed effort. Good comeback by Bentley.

FWIW attendance-wise Tate rink was pretty deserted yesterday, officially at just over 1000 but no way were that many folks there. Tough to schedule an afternoon game on Halloween. They offered free admission to kids under 12 if they dressed in Halloween costumes so there was that.

I'd be interested in what the attendance will be at Barclays.

Great showing in Brooklyn! Offense was firing on all cylinders!! The freshmen looked great. First career NCAA goals for ALghren and Depourcq. Schmidt with 2, French with another goal (3 in 2 games) and Blommer provided the rest

Nice to have the college games in Brooklyn! On the downside, Falcons can't continue to play soft D against good teams. Not sure why the 2 big freshmen D are sitting. Injuries maybe. Merrimack could be a very different story.

Re: Bentley University Hockey 2015-2016: The Quest for 60-Minute Hockey

Dare we go for (gulp) two (gulp) consecutive sell-outs at the JAR on Wednesday? I have no idea how well Merrimack fans travel, but it is all of about 40 minutes between the two campuses.

Re: Bentley University Hockey 2015-2016: The Quest for 60-Minute Hockey

I dunno if we can pack a place out like some of our peers, but you'll see a contingent for sure.

Even if not sold out in advance, I advise arriving early for the Mac game.
