Bentley University Hockey 2015-2016: The Quest for 60-Minute Hockey

Re: Bentley University Hockey 2015-2016: The Quest for 60-Minute Hockey

We've heard rumors of a home and home with the Huskies of Northeastern, axing our traditional QPac/Harvard games

Given Quinnipiac is one game long on the rumoured list on the schedules thread, and Northeastern still has 2 NC game opponents to figure out, I would give a very high probability of this being the case.

That would give us five of six OOC game against Hockey East teams, which would be a first, I think. Very cool.

Don't think so. Looks like MACK will be a Wednesday night game midweek.

So, that is at least RPI and Mac coming to the JAR, with the possibility of NU also; three OOC games at the JAR certainly would be a first, no?

EDIT: good call on the NU rumor, as NU just posted their schedule, with NU visiting the JAR on October 16th, and Bentley visiting one of my favorite rinks in Hockey East on October 17th.

I can't wait to see all the comments left here regarding the JAR after those games. Should read like a bad restaurant comment thread on TripAdvisor.

As a Merrimack fan, the JAR may bring back some bad memories of the pre-renovation Lawler. I'm excited though since it's right down the road. Is one allowed to bring in food from Russo's?

They barely check tickets, one could certainly bring in a meatloaf dinner with a latte.

What schiegs said. Yep, similar to the pre-renovation Lawler. But, you cannot beat free parking within 20 steps of the JAR, and $5 tickets. :-)

Anyone know if they slapped anymore bandages on the JAR this summer? With all the visitors coming this season, you'd think they would get out the bleach and Lysol ar least.

Yup. Two rows of luxury boxes have been added to both sides of the press box, and rumor is that food and drinks were be catered for the luxury boxes by Russo's. But, seriously, I think that the JAR has seen about as much in the way of renovations as might be expected over the past few years, the need for fresh urinal cakes in the men's restroom notwithstanding.

Schedule now essentially complete, as seen on FlagDude's thread.

Shameless plug - also in the link in my signature :D

Thanks, mar. And, you have been a valuable contributor to FlagDude's thread, too. Good to see AHA (AHC?) teams getting some great OOC match ups this coming season; now our teams need to win a few more of these games.

"Luxury" and "JAR" are not allowed in the same post. It's a rule.

Thanks for posting, TTS. Looks like the schedules posted by FlagDude and mar were spot on. Overall, a challenging schedule for this season, but maybe an easier OOC slate than last year, with four of the the five HEA and one ECAC game winnable. But, four each against 'Hurst and RIT will be tough. Also, lots of mid-week games. Again, three OOC games at the JAR will be a first.
