Do any of the three N/C teams visiting THE JAR travel particularly well? Might they actually need to "manage" tickets to ensure people don't get turned away at the door due to fire code capacity or some other nonsense? It wouldn't take much of a showing from NU to or MC to create an issue.

Good question. But, Mac is coming on a school night, and RPI is coming from 2.5 hours away. Not sure about NU fans on their Saturday night visit. Just hoping that Bentley fans outnumber the opposing team fans for every game at the JAR this season, which has not always been the case in the past.

Same for Air Force, which always has far more fans than Bentley at the JAR, but those games are usually when Bentley students are gone during semester break.

Yep, you got that right, Komey. And, the second half has been problematic for Bentley in many recent seasons, although last year the implosion did not occur until the final couple of weeks.

I don't really think the term implosion would be the right choice for last season. The team went 6-1-2 for a period of time before losing its last two games of the year. Even with the losses to Sacred Heart (a much better team than people gave them credit for) and a Holy Cross team with arguably the league's best goalie, a 6-3-2 record down the stretch is far from an implosion. In fact, last year's Bentley team only lost back-to-back games three times over the course of the season. Plus they outplayed Mercyhurst for virtually the entire series, save for the worst kind of puck luck imaginable (Rick Gotkin in the Game 3 postgame said to me last year, "I don't think I'll ever understand how we won this series." or something to that effect). So I don't think the term implosion would be the right term to use there.

2014-2015: 7-5-3 (undefeated streak of 7 in a row where they went 5-0-2 from Jan 30-Feb 21)
2013-2014: 9-5-3 (undefeated streak of 6 where team went 4-0-2 from Jan 10-Jan 31 and two separate 3 game win streaks)
2012-2013: 6-9-2 (did have losing streaks of five and three)
2011-2012: 8-6-5 (three of the losses were to Yale on 1/1 by a 9-3 defeat and back-to-back losses to RIT, the only stretch where they lost on consecutive games).

The final seven games had them go 1-4-2, giving up goals in the 3rd period to lose points in 4 of those 6 ties/losses. They only scored 3 3rd period goals in that stretch, but gave up 8.
In the previous seven games, they went 6-1-0.
Going from 6-1-0 to 1-4-2 seems like a colapse. Having most of those latter outcomes being the result of 3rd period lapses only puts an exclamation point on the term "colapse!"

Hey guys the college hockey reddit group is doing a 60 teams in 60 days where we post an article a day about a different team and no one has claimed Bentley yet. I was wondering if any of you use reddit and would like to possibly write the post for bentley?
