Bemidji State offseason, WCHA, BREC here we come!

Re: Bemidji State offseason, WCHA, BREC here we come!

If you're darring, you could wait and see how many of those "friends and family" tickets get turned back in (anyone really think every kid has four people that will travel to every road game? Think about it, between BSU and UND there are how many kids from far away Canada, California, Colorado, Alaska, New England, Sweden, etc.) - either UND or BSU could sell them close to game day (maybe walk-up? I'm not sure the exact policy)...

Or you could pony up some cash and make an offer to Millsy as he will more than likely be changing diapers that weekend.................................:p :D ;)

Hey, I am thinking a nine day old is more than ready to attend his first Beaver Hockey Game!!!! :p My wife may feel differently though..... :(

I am going to get to the Friday game. The Saturday will be up in the air though...... Scalping of tickets is now legal, so I should be able to get something for them.

The UND game should be worth a box or two of diapers. If it was UAH I would say that in addition to the tix you would throw in a couple boxes of dirty ones. :D

GVSU? Isn't that the school that should man up and play in D1, where they belong?
We don't have the alumni base to even come close to moving whole hog up to D1. Easily a 10 million a year cost to just be a happy to be on the Ticker program. If you knew anything with Grand Valley Athletics, we wouldn't be content with a "just happy to be D1" program.
Yes. But like any bully, they don't have any balls and are afraid of DI.
Oh boo-hoo! You guys left before you could even out the overall playoff matchup. 4-2.
They're still D2? Guess it must be fun beating the snot out of opponents rather than play competitive games.
Well, the way I remember it, one of the programs that was halfway decent ran off to D1. And then had some legal issues with the NCAA and this boy name Sue.

Re: Bemidji State offseason, WCHA, BREC here we come!

Exactly. Grand Valley State is content with being the 8th grader who beats up elementary school kids and thinks it makes him cool instead of just a giant loser. They can't go DI because then week in and week out they'd be in fair fights or they might even be *gasp* the elementary school kid themselves and that terrifies them. They could set incredibly high goals and believe in themselves that they can achieve those goals. Instead they set incredibly low goals for themselves and think everyone should be impressed when they achieve those goals. Please. Putting together a 24 piece Elmo Sesame Street puzzle is not impressive and that is the equivalent of what GVSU does.

You know you're a bunch of chicken sh^t p^ssy losers when NDSU has more balls than you.

Now that's just dirty pool Dirk, and you know it!!! NDSU and UND are both flagship schools in North Dakota, which means they get a large share of money from Bismark. Michigan has 2 schools that get the lions share of money from Lansing, and if another school from their football league adds hockey, they could easily make UND a Mid-major Hockey program overnight.
Not to mention the 3 MAC schools who already have to deal with recruiting right up against us. GVSU is a young school that pretty much sprang from a cornfield back in the 60's and only recently gotten to its current enrollment size. We don't have the Alumni base yet to support being a D1 school.

And since you wanna go with the infantile insults.... How about a joke then?
Your conference has New Jersey Institute of Technology in it. Yeah, I'm really getting excited to go watch them. Hell, I bet that even if you took the parents out of the equation, MTU, NMU, and LSSU all have basketball fans that travel better than THAT program.

Take your half-compliments when you can get them, Bison Boy. And teach these morons not to release manure into ditches killing nice fishys.

I agree. My daughter was 29 days old when she went to her first game. She was in NICU and when she was discharged we went straight from the hospital to the rink.

Ha, (almost the) same here. Back in 2001, my daughter was out of the NICU about a week and a half, and we drove over to see the last game at the old Ralph on a whim (since it was a Sunday play-off game) just to say we were at the last game... She was just over a month old at the time.

Re: Bemidji State offseason, WCHA, BREC here we come!

BSU loses recruit Zack Franko to WHL.

Tough break, but I guess we are now with the big boys with losing players to Major Juniors.

I guess we had Aaron Lewadniuk a year ago, but he went to Brandon of the WHL. He put up good numbers, 86 points in 65 games during the season, 12 points in 15 games in the playoffs.

Three gets the lions share of funding. A fourth get's a considerable more than the rest.

Re: Bemidji State offseason, WCHA, BREC here we come!

So GVSU gets the most money of any DII school and more than a DI school. Thanks for confirming that they are nothing but giant chickens laying excuse eggs.

Look at the list again Dirty. Wayne State gets more money that GVSU and they're still a D2 school. :p

I would love to continue the argument but lets take it to a slightly more appropriate spot shall we?? D2 football thread

Re: Bemidji State offseason, WCHA, BREC here we come!

Good call. Since the World Cup ended I rarely follow soccer these days. Besides isn't GVSU an all girls school? ;)
I don't know about all girls, but I can think of one girl from there, coincidentally, she posts on USCHO! :D

If anyone is in need of a Beaver hockey fix, I was just pointed to this complete game from 11/22/08 on YouTube:
