Beavers picked ninth in coaches poll. I'm hoping for sixth and hosting the first round of the playoffs.

In some cases, the contracts they receive over in Europe are more lucrative than what they could get over here in the CHL, ECHL, and sometimes, AHL.

Not sure if that is the case for Sirianni, it may be a case where he really enjoys where he is playing.

Also, I saw this morning that Riley Weselowski is in the Rochester Americans (AHL) training camp.

Here is the most recent update on Former Beavers that I have.....

Matt Pope is an invite to the Manitoba Moose (AHL). I have not had time to research whether or not he has been released or not.

Matt Francis was cut from the Rockford (AHL) camp and is back with Gwinnett (ECHL).

Riley Weselowski has been cut from the Rochester (AHL) camp and is back with Rapid City (CHL).

Matt Dalton had a pre season shut out with the Providence Bruins (AHL) in his first start with them.

I noticed on facebook last night that one of my friends from high school must be working at the BREC, because his status said that he was flooding the BREC rink for the first time. :)

Looks like BSU has landed another recruit for next year (or the year after).

Sam Windle, D, Chicago Steel of the USHL. 6'4", 192# from Maple Grove, MN.

Same here. I'm gonna go tonight and at least see inside for myself. They'll have season ticket packets available Thursday at the David Park House.

Do you think tickets will be real hard to come by when regular season tickets go on sale? I want to plan a trip up to Bemidji to see the new rink but I'm worried I won't be able to find tickets.

You can purchase BSU Mens hockey tickets at TicketMaster.Com starting October 18th I believe.

Just for fun I am going to the BREC reeeeeeeeaaaaaal early Monday morning to wait in line for tix. A camping chair and thermos of coffee, good to go.
