Bemidji State Beavers: Defending the MacNaughton 2017-18

Re: Bemidji State Beavers: Defending the MacNaughton 2017-18

Great weekend from the Beavs. About time. I believe that is a much better reflection of how good this team is than what they have shown for most of the year. It’s too bad we left so many points on the board the previous 4 games. Hopefully we can get on a post Christmas break streak like we did 2 years ago. Still plenty of time left to host for playoffs and/or contend for the macnaughton especially with at least two games played less than everyone on front of us

Re: Bemidji State Beavers: Defending the MacNaughton 2017-18

Congrats on getting Driscoll.
He'll take over nicely for Bitzer.

That is a nice get. That gives BSU three goalies for next year and competition makes everyone better. I am assuming he will be coming in with three years left to play. Jack Burgart is a sophomore this year, but didn't play his freshman season, so I am not sure if a redshirt got used or not. Henry Johnson is a freshman this year.

Re: Bemidji State Beavers: Defending the MacNaughton 2017-18

Bemidji fans, hope you all have a great Christmas and holiday season. Thanks for the great hospitality on our recent visit!

Re: Bemidji State Beavers: Defending the MacNaughton 2017-18

Nice win by the Beavers last night over the Chargers to run their unbeaten streak to 6 (3-0-3). Same two teams tonight as the Beavers moved into 5th while Huntsville is three points behind in sixth.

Re: Bemidji State Beavers: Defending the MacNaughton 2017-18

Unbeaten in thw last 7 (4-0-3). Onto Lake State and hopefully two more wins!

The Beavers, 24 points, have two games in hand on league leader Mankato (36 points) and second place Northern (31 points). They are even in games played with third place Bowling Green (28 points) and four games in hand on Michigan Tech (28 points).

3-0 win tonight! 5 straight wins and 8 straight unbeaten. Just seems to be that we always play really well from December on every season

Bitzer with his 20th shutout of his career. Tied for #2 with Joe Fallon (UVM) & 6 behind Ryan Miller (MSU).

Re: Bemidji State Beavers: Defending the MacNaughton 2017-18

Looks like the Beavers are going to make this a five team race for the four home playoff spots.

GET GREEDY GREEN AND GET THE SWEEP!

Re: Bemidji State Beavers: Defending the MacNaughton 2017-18

Beavers up 5-3 late in the 2nd after being down 2-1. Got 2 short handed goals! Go Beavers!

Re: Bemidji State Beavers: Defending the MacNaughton 2017-18

Beavers win 6-3! Beavers have now won six straight and are undefeated in their last nine. The Beavers are now in fourth place with 30 points, one point out of second place, held by both Northern Michigan and Bowling Green. Bowling Green will play Ferris in game two tomorrow and then both those teams will be even in games with the Beavers. Mankato is in first with 39 points and plays Anchorage later tonight. After tonight, the Beavers will have two games in hand on Mankato and also on fifth place Michigan Tech, who has 28 points.

Fighting Hawks next weekend in an non-conference series!

Re: Bemidji State Beavers: Defending the MacNaughton 2017-18

Congrats to Michael Bitzer on bis 21st career shutout last night, putting him in sole possesion of second place. He is five behind record holder Ryan Miller.

Re: Bemidji State Beavers: Defending the MacNaughton 2017-18

Beavers with their eighth straight WCHA win and 10 game unbeaten streak in league play. Up next, a trip to Huntsville.

Also, Bemidji was named the site for Hockey Day Minnesota 2019!

WHO HATES HUNTSVILLE!

Re: Bemidji State Beavers: Defending the MacNaughton 2017-18

Nice 4-1 W at Ferris to complete the sweep. Finished strong after being down 1-0. Go Beavers!
