OK, eagle eye. Not so sure about that.
That guy shouldn't be allowed to speak.
A couple thoughts:
-The officials evened things up IMO and then finally let the players decide it. I guess I'll take it since we're used to the incompetence.
-That was one of BC's best games of the year if not the best. Absolutely took it to BU in OT too. They're gaining confidence in all areas.
-Unsung heroes: Cross and Milner; Cross broke up two huge odd man rushes for BU...I think two 3 on 1 sequences.
-Dumoulin is a freak--the best dman I've ever seen at BC. He is better than Mike Mottau.
-Millan had no chance on the Kreider goal, but to me, he looked a little off on the Arnold GWG. I know he still went top shelf, but I feel it's one Millan could have had.
It sure is nice winning BU's tournament. The tide has certainly changed when it comes to the Beanpot. Three in a row and four of five? Not too shabby. But, more than winning the actual Beanpot, it should help BC in the PWR and...
The biggest single positive for BC coming out of this game is Parker Milner. He ain't perfect and he ain't pretty, but that was a huge, huge spot for him.

JD - you are right, Dumoulin is a freak and he is better than Mottau - that is no insult to Mottau. But the way Dumoulin moves with his size is amazing. Dumoulin "thinks the game" really well, too. When is the last time he had a big time mental gaffe? Gotta ask - was Brian Leetch before your time? It'll be awhile before anyone has a better college defenseman better than Leetch. Leetch is the Paul Kariya of college hockey defensemen.

Better team won. Hands down. BC will spring forward win HE and be off to the FF.
BU won't be able to bounce back and likely gets swept by a very good Lowell squad this weekend and loses home ice in the HE quarters.
I think a 19-15 finish is realistic for this team. Feel badly for Millan. He played amazing but didn't get a ton of help.

I agree that the better team won--just look at how the OT went--but I think these teams might meet again at the Garden in March.

Many thanks to both teams for giving me something to do/watch on a Monday night.
Pretty **** fine game by both teams.
It looked like both teams cared--a lot.
College hockey would be even more popular than it is if every game was like that one.

BC was far better in OT, BU had the upper hand for most of the 3rd. We got tired, plain and simple. Nicastro is clearly not 100%, he can't even fully wind up a slapshot, and the loss of Privitera is hurting a bit since Ruikka is really an average defenseman with no offensive skills whatsoever, hope he comes back soon. Lots of chances for both teams to win, so many "almosts'. Couple of solid teams there.

I attended the Beanpot tonight for the first time, and it was the second-best sporting event I've ever witnessed (I was at Yankee Stadium this summer when Derek Jeter hit his 3000th). Even though it wasn't the outcome I wanted, it was just an incredible experience. Both student sections were awesome, though I think the BU students were a little louder, more consistent, and more clever. The game itself was just tremendous- a true nail-biter. No one deserved to lose, but the outcome was perhaps just based on the shot count.
All in all, it was one of the best nights of my life. Kudos to both schools for putting on such a display.
