BC vs. Denver

Re: BC vs. Denver

It's too early in the season to say that one team is clearly head and shoulders better than everyone else. BC looked awfully good on Friday. Saying that, DU is not as good as they were last year, and will have to fight for a top-half spot (I think they'll wind up about 4th or 5th). As most DU fans expected, BC swept, and deserve the top billing for another week.
BC isn't half the team you saw in Detroit last season either.
Sue will smuck us.
But I'm hoping, when all is said and done, that my team may get an opportunity to share the same ice with them.

A BC-UND final would be a lot of fun. Hardly anyone on the teams have played against each other at the collegiate level, so it would be nice to meet again in the NCAA's. If they did, it would be the 10th meeting in the NCAA tournament between the two teams.

Re: BC vs. Denver

The last few BC-ND games, with the exception of the one in 2008 that was a 55 second knockout (:D) have been some of the best college games I've ever seen. I'd like to see the two teams play more often in the regular season, anyway. Both teams love to fly up and down the ice, it's a natural matchup.

Re: BC vs. Denver

BC was fantastic this weekend and deserved every bit of the sweep. Denver played their hearts out last night and still could not match BC's effectiveness. DU hasn't been swept by a non-conference team at home since 1991, and for BC to come in here and dominate as they did is a real testament to the program they are. DU likely won't see a better team this year, and this series pointed out distance between a top team and a rebuilding team.

You sure about that? Almost certain BC won two 3-2 games at Magness in the late 90s/early 2000s

Re: BC vs. Denver

You're correct. BC did complete a sweep of Denver by 3-2 scores on 10/20 and 10/21 in 2000. CHN also had the same statistic incorrectly, for whatever reason.

because CHN is a joke site? though buscho's constant employment of fanboys has them right on machnik's heels.

Can you find error #2 in this CHN excerpt from Adam Wodon?

"The defending champs marched into Magness and destroyed the host Pioneers, getting the game's first five goals en route to the win. And it was all at 5-on-5, and it was from five different forwards -- Joe Whitney, Jimmy Hayes, Tommy Cross, Kevin Hayes and Cam Atkinson."
