Re: BC Hockey '13-'14: The Quest To Make Holy Cross Transitive Property National Cham

I don't think anyone here is saying JG is going to stay to screw over the Flames. Some folks have inquired and some folks have responded to the rules of the CBA. Nothing more, nothing less. Personally, even if JG stays for his senior season, I think he stills signs with the Flames. Just a hunch.

How many of you coming to Boston in March?

I agree with what you say about JG. It's just that after the Blake Wheeler incident, any team that holds the rights to a college player is going to get worried if they stay the full four years. Not saying that JG has any intentions of doing that or would do that, but I can definitely see how the potential to control your own destiny would be tempting.

The whole JG staying a 4th year to screw over the Flames has been beat to death by the fans, most recent update on that came today:

Sportsnet 960 @Sportsnet960
Al Morganti on #Flames prospect Johnny Gaudreau: "I'm told that he feels he can't do anything more in college. He'll turn pro with Calgary."

Also BChockeyJunkie is not just some random Flames fan stalker like the rest of us, there is some weight behind that information.

And further, thanks to everyone who helped me with the tickets, I got in contact with the ticket office and we are in the process of figuring out when they will become available. Can`t wait to see BC in the QF`s!

I hope you enjoy it. And don't forget that Bill Arnold is also Flames property. I think you'll like what you see with him. A versatile, well-rounded, all-around player.

Fair enough, just a soft spot among Flames fans.. lol.

There are ten of us coming down, we get in on the 14th and leave on the 18th. St. Paddy's is pretty quiet around Boston right? We just want a relaxing weekend ;)

Yes very excited to see Arnold play as well. I really like what I have heard about him and seen in the high light videos. He is probably one of our more under rated but not under appreciated prospects. I have heard him compared to Stoll, strong two way play, has an offensive touch but prefers to take care of his own zone first. How accurate would you say that is?

Not sure who I'd specifically compare him to, but he's an excellent defensive player and penalty-killer with legit offensive skills who can produce when given the chance to play with talented offensive players. As demonstrated by his numbers this year.

I'd say that's pretty fair. Read on EA it was the first NU game in 12 years without them getting called for a penalty.

Surely they block shots but $h!t these kids are armored head to toe, who doesn't?

Also read there's a chance McCoshen is back this weekend.

.

i meant to say that i felt we blocked more than we usually do Monday night, not sure it was conveyed that way. Great news about McCoshen that they are even thinking he may be ready, fingers crossed. Yeah, saw that on EA too about NU

Re: BC Hockey '13-'14: The Quest To Make Holy Cross Transitive Property National Cham

Sounds like McCoshen is playing this weekend, was a consussion not a lower body injury

wow, i was right:eek: great news! This is going to be a real tough weekend and AGAIN no television. It's amazing how few BC games have been on TV this year. You would think we sucked instead of being the league's marquee team

It's not TV but UVM streams the games for free...you can find the link on the UVM board.

Charlie Moore Outdoors fishing for bass at some 'unnamed Lake' is WAY more important.

Still, the less I have to listen to Tommy Caron's 'nails-on-blackboard' voice, the better off we ALL are.

You'd be on TV every week if you were in the NCHC. ;)

Re: BC Hockey '13-'14: The Quest To Make Holy Cross Transitive Property National Cham

I expect to see BC, Lowell, NU and Providence there at the Garden, unless two of those teams end up matched up in the quarterfinal, which looks unlikely. Vermont is also looking pretty legit right now, too.
Providence is struggling. I think Maine and UNH have legitimate shots at the Garden. Would love to see Maine make it. The Maniac fans will fill that place and makes for a great atmosphere.

Just when I was getting of over the nightmare of Mottau being hooked and Dimotrakos goes in alone unexpectedly and scores on Clemmensen just after BC tied it on tremendous slapshot by Bobby Allen ))

Potentially UMass can pull an upset too and get into the final 4. They seem to play us tough.

Storm coming in Thursday night into Friday with several inches of snow. Give your self plenty of time.

Yeah I'll be driving up early Friday morning and late night scorekeeping job on Thursday at local rink. It'll be slow driving ...

Was the Beanpot not on TV just 2 days ago?

sterlippo doesn't have a TV, so he has a very good point!
