Re: Bad Cop, Bad Cop, Whatcha gonna do?

If they ever tried indictment, I guarantee it would be objected on those grounds. Whether or not it would be sustained is a different story.

And if ifs and buts were candy and nuts...

The grand jury assembled and bleeted about was for charges to be brought using the laws of the State of MO. The federal investigation is entirely separate, looking at a different set of laws.

Re: Bad Cop, Bad Cop, Whatcha gonna do?

If it was investigated by a grand jury, I believe that counts.

Uh...no. State and Federal are two different systems. In the Old South states, white men simply weren't convicted for killing blacks. In almost every case the federal government tried, the accused had already been found not guilty of murder by a local jury. They were found guilty in federal court for violating the civil rights of the victims.

Cue nonsensical rant about federal overreach in 3...2...1...

Sadly it's too late for Officer Wilson

Yeah, he'll just have to muddle through with the cool million he got, plus a lifetime on the GOP speaking tour. Poor guy.

Re: Bad Cop, Bad Cop, Whatcha gonna do?

Those Ferguson emails are rather enlightening.

Of course, that kid who tried to take his gun by reaching his giant strong body through a car window, all the way across Wilson was just so massive that the officer felt like a five year old against Hulk Hogan. All he could do was stand his ground.

Better allow false testimony just in case anyone questions this during the grand jury...

I guess you are guaranteeing the defendants are appearing pro se, because no lawyer would raise a defense so obviously frivolous. Even a non lawyer who had slept through every government class he ever took would know better. Even a domestic pet that had been beaten into idiocy would know better. Even if a bag of hammers which, by some miracle, could contemplate raising such an objection, it would have enough collective hammer sense to know better.

But you will guarantee it. :)

Not even Slippin' Jimmy would make that argument and he was willing to fight a secession case!
