Bad Cop, Bad Cop, Whatcha gonna do?

I'm sure if you accidentally shot your wife twice you wouldn't face any charges. It's not like there are laws against discharging your firearm carelessly.

How many times do you entry your password again after being told it's wrong?!?

Holy ****. That is incredible. I figured it would have died ages ago.

Collegehumor actually creates some of its own stuff doesn't it? Ebaumsworld just steals everything and then calls it their own, they're like the old buzzfeed.

Extended Video of Tamir Rice Incident

CLEVELAND, Ohio – Cleveland police officers forced Tamir Rice's 14-year-old sister to the ground, handcuffed her and placed in the back of a Cleveland police car steps away from her wounded 12-year-old brother.

The scene plays out within the first two minutes of the 30 minute video taken from the Cudell Recreation Center surveillance camera that captured the shooting. The additional video was obtained by Northeast Ohio Media Group after protracted talks with city officials, who initially refused to release it.

An attorney representing the Rice family called the video "shocking and outrageous."

"This has to be the cruelest thing I've ever seen," Akron-based attorney Walter Madison said.

The video confirmed earlier claims made by Tamir's mother, Samaria Rice, and her legal team at a Dec. 8 press conference that an officer cuffed her daughter as she ran to check on her brother and that officers waited several minutes before administering first aid.

Just one bad cop, right?

Re: Bad Cop, Bad Cop, Whatcha gonna do?

That's exactly what I said

If not, what are you saying?

Pretty much everyone agrees that there are bad eggs (cops) out there. You want people to acknowledge exactly what?

Re: Bad Cop, Bad Cop, Whatcha gonna do?

So you're getting on walrus' case for putting words in your mouth exactly one post after you just did the same thing with this?

I'm not putting words in anyone's mouth.

The StL case: given what we know, the cop acted correctly. He neutralized the threat. A tragedy, no doubt. A life was lost. I believe he acted correctly.
The NY case: given that the ME said the hold (call it a chokehold, call it whatever you want) was NOT the cause of death, then despite what I think of that particular law (the loosie law), the cops acted correctly.
The CLE case: He should be held accountable, as from what we know, he was in the wrong and acted very irresponsibly.

I've never excused an unjust killing. That CLE cop should never have been on the force; that was a horrible incident with that kid.

Sorry to pick on Brent, but that was in this thread. I'm sure I can find more by checking the other thread.

Notice that his focus is on one cop, who "never should have been on the force" anyway. Well, it turns out that it was more than just that one cop, after all...

That was my point. Not that "all cops are bad".

Re: Bad Cop, Bad Cop, Whatcha gonna do?

So how many are? What would you estimate to be the percentage of cops nationwide that are "bad"?

Same as all humans: 10 percent.

Humanity basically breaks down along the 1:8:1 rule. 10% stupid, 10% intelligent, 80% average. 10% saint, 10% sociopath, 80% average.

Why would cops be any different?

According to this, there are 900k sworn police officers in the US. So, 90k bad cops.

Re: Bad Cop, Bad Cop, Whatcha gonna do?

My mistake. I forgot that there are no bad cops. It's just that "white guilt" kicking in again. Must have felt pangs after seeing a 14-year old girl knocked to the ground, cuffed and then forced to watch as her younger brother died. I have since taken my Soma and am just fine now.

Everything is awesome!
