I really want the Swedes to win but:

a) the ridiculous lopsided shot total leads me to believe that Russia will get one really late, and
b) the Canadian fans are chanting "Let's go Sweden" so I want Russia to win to shut them up.

I guess Americans don't like somebody else being the obnoxious bully. Isn't this what the Canadians are doing....acting like (Dream Team) Americans (USA_USA_USA!!) do in just about every other sport? When it comes to hockey you college Americans have a big inferiorty complex. You will do alot better in future tournaments if you go with a CHL coach and more CHL players. Your college boys just don't have what it takes.

Canadians are okay with the results. We know nobody is close to us in hockey. In this type of format anyone can beat anyone. Us losing is good for the sport. We really like to see you yanks implode because you're so **** arrogant its fun to watch. The whole world like it! What most Canadians are first and foremost are hockey fans who want this tournament to be elsewhere what it is in Canada. Kudo's for Canadian fans showing up at everybodys games not to mention a full house tonight. How many Americans would go watch another countries team play? You couldn't pull a tournament off like this and you know it.

hahaha....you know I am right:) You Minnesota guys couldn't be more like Canadians if you tried. You're like little Canada so why do you hate us so much......hell we gave you hockey didn't we. Actually I read some Minnesota guys version of the history of hockey and he actually tried to claim hockey was discovered in Minnesota....hahaha.

Hate you? Heck no, we feel sympathy for you. Canada is such a pathetic country that they have to measure their self-worth through teenagers and half the country was on suicide watch a couple days ago because of it. Without hockey Canada would be a giant version of Lithuania, completely irrelevant to the world.

I just think it's nice that you honor that great American Charles Goodyear with your screen name. And why do all of the Canandian kids come to America to play college hockey? Go hunt some elk or something, please.

No, but we have been playing you guys since the beginning.

Minneapolis Ariel, February 16, 1895.* Page 5:

“The University of Minnesota hockey team will play a game for the championship of Minneapolis against the Minneapolis Hockey Club at their rink, at the corner of Fourth Avenue and Eleventh Street South.* The game is preparatory to the game to be played Monday afternoon by Winnipeg and the University of Minnesota.* Winnipeg is champion of the world.* Winnipeg has returned from a rough trip through eastern Canada and has defeated without too much trouble Montréal, Toronto, Victoria, Ottawa, Québec, and the Limestone’s.* The University started practice two or three weeks ago and played against a Minneapolis team, being defeated 4-1. A week and one half ago that they defeated the same team 6-4.* Tonight they play the tie off for the championship.* Dr. H.A. Parkyn has been coaching the boys every afternoon.* He has a couple of stars in Willis Walker and Russell.*

Walker plays point and Russell cover-point, with Van Campen in goal. Parkyn and Albert are center forwards. Dr. Parkyn’s long experience with the Victoria team of Toronto, one of the best, makes him a fine player.* Thompson and Head, the other two forwards, are old ice polo players and skate fast and pass well. Van Campen, quarterback on last year's football team, plays goal well.*
