An Open Letter To All USCHO Crackpots and Knuckledraggers - by Rover

Rover

The Dark One
Seeing as everybody's been dying to hear from me on this subject, I thought I'd make a few public comments to share with the USCHO community. Particularly a certain sub-set of this message board...:D

Now, while its tempting to go BWAAAA HAHAHAHAHAHA I'm going to hold off on that and address the crackpots first (you know who you are):

Too often the loudest anti-something voices are the ones who stand for nothing. The same people who had their "I voted for Obama but he let me down" speech written two days before his inauguration. To put it simply, you can now say for once in your lives politicians but their careers on the line to do the right thing, and tackle a pressing problem instead of just punting it down the road. See, borrowing money to pay for tax cuts for wealthy campaign contributors is an easy vote to take. On the other hand, the last two tough votes, taken over 16 years apart, both came from Dem Congresses determined to put a dire issue on the right track (Clinton deficit reduction bill, now Obamacare). In the intervening years, no tough votes were taken, and not so coincidentally that's when the GOP held power. Its fine to say that politicians don't step up enough. However, when they do and you still deny it happened, you come off as a fool. Lets salute the brave respresentatives, all Democrats just like the last time, who put what was right over what was politically expedient.

Now onto the knucks'. What a bunch of whiny losers. Here's da facts, jack. Your side just got health care rammed down your throats, and even with all the heavy panting over Scott Brown's Cosmo spread there was nothing you could do to stop it. This is a permanent change despite the desperate lunacy that you're now trying to cling to (court challenges, repeal, etc). Basically lies, racial epithats, fear mongering, and spitting on Congressmen didn't work. Never has one side of the ideological spectrum looked like such juvenile crybabies. No, I'm not talking about the activists, I'm talking about Republican elected officials. Much like SoS, Medicare, Civil Rights, etc once again you're completely on the wrong side of history. You'd think they'd smarten up once in awhile, but I guess not. No real solutions were offered by the caveman party. No actions were taken when they were in power. No teabagger protests occured when the prescription drug mandate was passed. Now we're supposed to believe righties as the champions of fiscal prudence? Puh-leeze. We trust you guys like we'd trust Rep. Foley drunk outside the male house page intern dorm. :p

Funny how whenever big and great things are done, its always the Dems bringing them about. Who brought the country out of the Great Depression? Who won WWII? Who enacted the greatest program to lift people out of poverty ever and care for them in old age? Who forced the Soviets to back down in Berlin & Cuba? Who gave us victory in the space race? Who gave us balanced budgets and ended genocide in Bosnia? Who gave us practically universal health care? Now, what does the GOP have to stack against that? Tax cuts for big campaign contributors.

Its a great day for this country, and God Bless America.

Seeing as everybody's been hoping not to hear from me on this subject, I thought I'd make a few asinine comments to vomit all over the USCHO community. Particularly a certain sub-set of this message board...:D

Now, while its tempting to go BWAAAA HAHAHAHAHAHA I'm going to hold off on that and address the people with rational thoughts first (you know who you are):

Too often the loudest, most annoying voices (Rover) are the ones who stand for nothing (Rover). The same people who had their "I voted for Obama but he let me down" speech written two days before his inauguration. To put it simply, you can now say for once in your lives politicians but their careers on the line to create a massive bill that doesn't solve the problem, and compounding a pressing problem instead of just solving it through lowering costs. See, lying to the American public is an easy route to take. On the other hand, the last two tough votes (nevermind the Afghanistan and Iraq war votes), taken over 16 years apart, both came from Dem Congresses determined to put a dire handout on the right track (Clinton deficit reduction bill that used Social Security funds to balance the budget, now Obamacare that will drive the cost of healthcare higher and decimate insurance companies by severely skewing their actuarial tables). In the intervening years, no tough votes were taken (Iraq? Afghanistan?), and not so coincidentally that's when the GOP held power (and tried to reform the mortgage industry--only to be stymied by the Dems). Its fine to say that politicians don't step up enough. However, when they do and you still try to say it was better than any other possible alternative, you come off as a total j*ckbag Rover. Lets salute the brave respresentatives, all Democrats just like the last time, who put what was going to get them more votes over what was best for the country.

Now onto the libs'. What a bunch of whiny losers. Here's da facts, jack. Your side just got their arses booted out of power in November, and even with all the heavy panting over the total screwjob given to the health care industry, there was nothing the liberal left could do to stop it. This legislation is a temporary change despite the desperate lunacy that you're now trying to cling to (executive orders, legislative chicanery, etc). Basically lies, racial epithats, fear mongering, and spitting on the American people didn't work. Never has one side of the ideological spectrum (liberal whackjobs) looked like such juvenile crybabies. No, I'm not talking about the activists, I'm talking about Democrat elected officials. Much like SoS (going bankrupt), Medicare (going bankrupt), Civil Rights (wasn't it the Republicans that were on the right side of that last one?), etc once again you're completely on the wrong side of a tax money giveaway. You'd think they'd smarten up once in awhile, but I guess not. No real solutions were offered by the Democratic party--rather than doing something to address cost or expanded availability, the Dems only addressed mandatory and subsidized coverage. No actions were taken when they were in power (they were continually stymied by the Dems). No teabagger protests occured when the prescription drug mandate was passed (not exactly on the same level, doosh). Now we're supposed to believe righties as the champions of fiscal prudence (obviously the Dems aren't doing it.....we're about to lose our AAA bond status) Puh-leeze. We trust the Dems like we'd trust Rep. Frank drunk outside the escort business running in his boyfriend's townhouse. :p

Funny how whenever inefficiently-big and greatly-expensive things are done, its always the Dems bringing them about from the bowels of bankruptcy. What brought the country out of the Great Depression? (Uh, WWII. Dumas.) Who won WWII? (The U.S. Military, led by Eisenhower-(R)) Who enacted the greatest program to lift people out of poverty ever and care for them in old age? (Again, going bankrupt) Who forced the Soviets to back down in Berlin & Cuba? (Kennedy is more conservative than either Bush was but, of course, he got us into the Vietnam War, slept around and gave us LBJ.) Who gave us victory in the space race? (The Russians beat us into space, smart guy) Who gave us balanced budgets (on the back of Social Security funds) and ended genocide in Bosnia? (For that matter, who ended the genocide in Iraq?) Who gave us practically universal health care? (This isn't universal health care, it's forced purchasing of health care--nothing more), what does the GOP have to stack against that? (Backing the world down from the Cold War, ending slavery, backing the Civil Rights movement, attempting to protect the unborn).

Its going to be a great day for this country come Election Day, and God Bless America.

The Correct Version of Your Incoherent Rant.

Meh. Not worried. The backlash from this debacle should sweep the Dems out of power and get some competent legislators in office. Ones that know the difference between a solution and cluster***** of inefficient anti-business legislation.

This is the part where you've proven that you've lost your mind. But, lets explore this for a minute. What do you truly hope to accomplish with McConnell and The Boner leading the Senate and the House? As you well know, Republicans are useless in power because their entire existence is a contradiction (no govt in your lives...EXCEPT for in your bedroom. Deficit reductions...EXCEPT when passing wealthy donor tax cuts financed by borrowing). I mean, really, haven't we seen this movie before? Bottom line is, the Dems passed a law to try to reduce the deficit. When is the last time the GOP could even claim that??? Now the same people that gave us the unfunded perscription drug benefit are going to be competent legislators? Do you believe in Santa Claus too? :D

still too many middle men taking a bite of the pie... half-azzed. i don't think they have the nads to do it right.:(

Re: An Open Letter To All USCHO Crackpots and Knuckledraggers - by Rover

That's funny.

We didn't get out of the G Depression until WWII. FDR's programs (WPA, CCC,...) prolonged the depression. Now if you want to believe the conspiracy theory that FDR got us into war by allowing Pearl Harbor to happen, have at it. Are you implying that a political party won WWII? Otherwise, I think Ike had more to do with winning WWII than FDR or Truman. Reagan won the Cold war that got the Soviets out of Ukraine, Latvia,... Oh, and this guy Lincoln emancipated millions of slaves and saved the union from falling apart. It is ironic that you mention winning the space race while Obama is cutting spending to NASA and putting more money into trains. Yeah, that's progress.

Keep drinking that kool aid.:p

Obviously the raging orgasm you've had over this diseased piece of legislative shiite has clouded your thinking. Fortunately, I'm a conservative--not a Republican. I don't care what people do in their bedrooms, so long as I'm not forced to endorse it. I'm all for deficit reductions--and holding each person accountable for their actions, which would pretty much do away with all entitlement and social welfare spending.

Meanwhile, you're tooting your silly little horn about entitlement programs that have allowed Americans to overspend throughout their lives, not plan for retirement, and not worry about funding their end-of-life care at the expense of having the government confiscate everything they own to fund horribly-overpriced substandard care in a state or county nursing home. See, you're not willing to see what your precious little bill doesn't accomplish: reducing costs and expanding the availability of quality health insurance and health care. If you don't control costs and expand the network of providers, all you have is more people chasing the same amount of expensive health care. Simple Math ((c)Scooby) clearly dictates that the cost of health care will go up. Coupled with the hamstringing of insurance companies through mandated coverage, and you'll see higher insurance premiums for everyone. How can you be so dim as to not see this, Rover? This bill is an atrocity, and you're either too scared, stupid and/or simple to see it (I'm guessing all three). Fortunately, it won't be around for long, so I don't really have to worry about it. I look forward to seeing your head explode in November.

Train wrecks can be entertaining, too. This one will not be, however.

I'm glad it passed because it made a lot of really stupid people (like Michelle Bachmann) really mad.

Absolutely false. The Depression was over by 1935. When conservatives attempted their "adjustments" to the New Deal after that, the result was the Recession of 1937.

spending lowers deficits? what school did you go too?

and plante26 is right on.

You want GOP answers - ending slavery, winning WWII (Ike), freeing the Soviet Bloc (Peace through strength, "mr. Gorbachev, tear down this wall"), more votes for the civil rights act, etc.

F Roosevelt extended the depression with his social welfare policies and he was saved by WWII.

Jack Kennedy may have inadvertently backed off the soviets from Cuba, but in the process allowed thousands of Cubans to die at the bay of pigs after backing off his promise to them of air support.

let's just talk about today.

Obama - mr. smartest president to ever be elected.
Iran in our faces with their nuclear reactor, working with Russia with absolutely no fear of discipline or reprisal from the U.S. Would never happen under a strong GOP president.

Telling Israel that in effect we care more about the palestinian cause than their cause, thereby fracturing an alliance and friendship that has lasted since 1948 would never happen under a strong GOP president. EVER.

And I assume Rover, you were one who was yelling that George Bush (who I am NOT a fan of) alienated our allies by not listening to them....

well, Che Obama has alienated the same only with his arrogance and conceit. He practically won't even talk to these leaders.

Unemployment is at 10% nationally and this idealogue instead of focusing on jobs focuses on his Alinskyite quest for national healthcare that won't just ruin the best healthcare system in the world (see doctors leaving the field, see higher premiums, see rationing, and more), but bankrupt our shrinking private sector as he's already set-out to destroy what's left of it.

Is there anything Obama is doing that is not dividing the country, trashing the constitution, and destroying wealth?

Whomever the next president is, they're going to find out what these 350 unelected czar-type's have been up too and boot their asses into jail.

and to stuff the justice department with lawyers who defended gitmo detainees (when you've got a recidivism rate that's at least 20-25% that we know of, that is those caught re-fighting the war against us)

apologizing for the U.S. (thanks Saul)

give me a break. I know you're trying to get a rise out of some of us but how about giving this clown in office a serious look and some serious scrutiny
