Thanks Ralph, I assume he will be eligible in 2017/18 as a transfer. Cowley will graduate in one year and Jaillet will be a senior in 2017/18. Dayton Rasmussen is also scheduled to come to DU in 2017/18 and Boston Bilous in 2019/20. DU could have Jaillet, Munson and Rasmussen in 2017/18. Munson was a freshman goalie at UVM last season and played in 21 games with 20 starts. Won a bunch of Hockey East accolades.

His bio at UVM http://www.uvmathletics.com/roster.aspx?rp_id=3686&path=mhockey
You guys are getting a VERY good goalie! Wish our program wasn't so messed up that he felt the need to move elsewhere.

Re: ALL THINGS DENVER--XL--This one's for Old Pio

University of Denver men's hockey coach Jim Montgomery announced today that defenseman Will Butcher (Sun Prairie, Wis.) has been named the Pioneers' team captain for the 2016-17 campaign. Montgomery also announced that forwards Trevor Moore (Thousand Oaks, Calif.) and Evan Janssen (Green Bay, Wis.) as well as defenseman Matt VanVoorhis (Grand Forks, N.D.) will serve as alternate captains for the upcoming season.

No surprise Butcher named Captain. Glad to see my fave, Fearless VanVoorhis, wearing an A.

Congrats to Allen Americans--ECHL Champs--Asst. Coach Erik Adams and D-man David Makowski. In 18 playoff games Mak had 20 points. He did not play in this series.
Not to be forgotten, Allen's opponents, the Wheeling Nailers--Ty Loney had 17 points in 25 playoff games and Matt Tabrum who had 2 points in 12 appearances.

Re: ALL THINGS DENVER--XL--This one's for Old Pio

Beau should gets his name on the Cup. Although he played 1 game in the final series he didn't have 41 regular season games to automatically qualify. Team can select him as one of the players that doesn't automatically qualify to get his name on the cup.

Really pulling for him to make the team. So much better when a Pio is on the team. And this year the time zones aren't 14 hours different.

ICYMI
Incoming freshman Henrik Borgstrom picked in 1st round--#23--Florida Panthers
Pacific Rim Line center Dylan Gambrell picked in 2nd round #60--San Jose Sharks
BIG Congrats to both

Beau Bennett traded to New Jersey Devils for draft pick. This was a make or break year for Beau. He was on a 1 year contract with the Pens @$800k per year--$100k cut from entry level contract. Injuries continued to haunt him again. Here's hoping he won't " bedeviled" by injuries in New Jersey.
