Re: ALL THINGS DENVER--XL--This one's for Old Pio

Proud of our Pios. They never gave up and they played with class.

Now let me just say I'll be cheering for Quinnipiac. Don't want fka Sioux to get ahead of our Pios in Nattys.
Go Bobcats!

Oh come On! Cheer for the NCHC!!:D

Re: ALL THINGS DENVER--XL--This one's for Old Pio

With about 4 minutes left you could see they took so much energy to come back that they were running out of gas. I was praying they could somehow get to the intermission and catch their breath for OT. Really enjoyed watching the Pios the handful of times I got to see them this year.

Re: ALL THINGS DENVER--XL--This one's for Old Pio

Uggghhhh, that was painful. That hit to the head should have been a five minute major. Refs didn't want to decide the game I guess.

Top 100 NHL Prospects in the NCAA-SBN
12. Danton Heinen
49. Troy Terry
86. Will Butcher

Will Butcher named 2nd team West All American! I remember early in the season Monty saying "Butch" was playing like the All American he has the talent to be. Obviously he was right. Congrats to Will!

Another Will, recruit Will MacKinnon(D), selected for the U17 NTDP. Congrats Will.

Re: ALL THINGS DENVER--XL--This one's for Old Pio

****!!! We soooo could have beaten Quinnipiac!!! Congrats to ND, grrrrrrr!

Re: ALL THINGS DENVER--XL--This one's for Old Pio

Ditto. The Natty final was really UND vs. Denver. If only the Hockey gods could have smiled on us a little more in that game........Oh well, begrudging props to UND. They deserved #8.

During the past 16 years, we Sioux fans have been saying we would be winning some banners if these were multigame series. But with Denver this year, we are lucky it was just one. Don't know what happened over there the second half, but that was one good hockey team.

Re: ALL THINGS DENVER--XL--This one's for Old Pio

Just back from Tampa. Congrats to Danton on his signing today. It was an amazing privilege to see a little over half of the 81 games he played for DU. His vision, reach, puck handling and work ethic will take him far. Looking forward to watching his NHL transition.
