Toronto's press release: http://mapleleafs.nhl.com/club/news.htm?id=890182Trevor Moore has foregone his senior season to sign with Toronto.
I agree with Cowley here. I think Denver should be preseason #1 nationally if Gambrell, Moore and Butcher return. Not overwhelming, but as much of a claim as any other team.

The Pioneers four first-team picks are the most of any program in 2016 and the most first-team picks in Denver’s history. Baptiste and Cannizzaro are DU's first 2 time first team All-AmericansSophomore faceoff specialist Trevor Baptiste (Denville, N.J.), junior close defender Christian Burgdorf (Westfield, N.J.), junior attackman Connor Cannizzaro (Cazenovia, N.Y.) and junior midfielder Zach Miller (Steamburg, N.Y.) were all First Team All-America selections, the United States Intercollegiate Lacrosse Association announced on Saturday morning. Junior midfielder Tyler Pace (Coquitlam, B.C) was tabbed a USILA Second Team All-America selection, giving Denver five All-Americans in 2016.
Newer reports on Justin Cole indicate he is coming to DU in 2017/18 so he is not Trevor Moore's replacement for 2016/17.
As of today, if Monty stands pat, there are 4 goalies, even though Munson can't play, so make that 3, 8 on defense, and 15 forwards. That's 26 available to play. Ogard in goal, and 4 skaters-- Hawkinson, who's back to forward, Ritt, Junda have played very little and Mostrom on defense not at all.
Monty could bring in someone scheduled for 2017. '96 Joachim Weberg and '97s CJ Dodero and Jack Doremus have graduated from high school and played in the USHL. Or find an uncommitted late bloomer. In either event the player would have to be accepted at DU and go through the NCAA Clearing House.
