Re: All Things Denver-The Real XXXIV

Think Drew may have surprised everyone with his play in the NHL. After seeing his improvement year by year at DU, he he kept moving his conditioning, skills and work ethic higher and higher. he obviously has taken that approach after time in San Antonio and now in Florida. It's great to see Shore #15 on the ice in the NHL.

Thank you, duper. Was contemplaring a response to Harley, but I think you said it all.:p

Re: All Things Denver-The Real XXXIV

Drew & Beau both with an assist so far tonight, Panthers up 4-2 over Pens in 2nd

Re: All Things Denver-The Real XXXIV

That's your example of a "dirty" play by Zucker? You're a ****ing moron!

Just curious, are you always this stupid or are you trying REAL hard today? What I wrote was both hits were nearly identical: 1) both players delivering the hit made contact into the head and neck area resulting in an injury, and 2) both players receiving the hit did not have possession of the puck. According to the Official IIHF Rulebook (2010-2014, #540, p. 83) it's officially "dirty" and Zucker should have been assessed a match penalty for his hit to the head area on Stajnoch:

540 – CHECKING TO THE HEAD AND NECK AREA.

a) A player who directs a check or blow, with any part of his body or equipment to the head and neck area of an opposing player or "drives" or "forces" the head of an opposing player into the protective glass on boards, shall be assessed at the discretion of the Referee, a: Minor penalty + Automatic Misconduct penalty (2’+10’) or Major penalty + Automatic Game Misconduct penalty (5’+GM) or Match Penalty (MP)

b) A player who injures an opponent as result of checking to the Head and Neck Area shall be assessed, a: Match Penalty (MP)

c) This rule supersedes Rules 520, 522, 525, 526 and 537 with regard to all actions described under articles a) and b).

So please stop this incessant whining about Rau's hit...Zucker did the same thing. "Instant karma gonna get you...gonna knock you off your feet".:D

Bwaaaaahahahaaahahahahahhhaaahahahaa

Gee, a Wild recap on a DU thread...brilliant son.:p:D
I didn't see the Wild recap. I only saw the DU player in the pros. Now, seriously, go away, little man. Your game has become tiresome.

Re: All Things Denver-The Real XXXIV

Appropriate?:D Need a shovel? Please don't tell me you got an education from DU?
The commas around the word "seriously" showed that, had I been speaking, I would have paused both before and after that word. I assume that even a mental giant such as you can figure out the necessity of the other comma. You see, when writing in a conversational tone, punctuation can be used to show the rhythm of what would have been speech if we were speaking. So actually, yes the punctuation was perfectly appropriate to the situation. But by all means, feel free to belittle my education. I suppose I have it coming after pointing out that you are a ****ing moron. :D

No, you're wrong. But as I figured, you don't use a shovel you just sling **** with your bare hands.

I'm sorry you struggled so mightily with high school English, but you are certainly entitled to your incorrect opinion. :D

Re: All Things Denver-The Real XXXIV

Jason Zucker is developing quite a flare for the dramatic. The rookie forward scored his second goal of the season... He went directly where he needs to be to score goals: the net. Devin Setoguchi found time and space, finally hitting Zucker right on the tape for a tap-in goal.
My mentor at Wild.com, former managing editor Glen Andresen, and I had a lengthy chat about Zucker just a week ago. We agreed that the kid has swagger, that “it factor,” a charisma you either have or you don’t. There is a confidence that goal scorers must posses that borders on cockiness, and Zucker walks the line like a champ.

Larkin Jacobson and DU Hockey had a shout out from Doc Emerick during tonight's Flyers/Caps game. Larkin's step-dad is Ruslan Fedotenko of the Flyers.
