AIC Represent!! 2010-20?? Thread

Isn't the current starter supposed to be that kind of goalie? And they are one of the few college teams I've seen planning to go with 2 goalies (junior and sophomore). What if one gets hurt?They've had that before, and it didn't help much.

Stealing defeat from the jaws of victory. They need to learn how to finish and win. At times looked great but easily got on their heals. Stronger around the net! Winning goal doesn't happen if the D let's Meisner worry about the puck and puts the Tech forwards on their butts! Win tonight.

There was some really good points to the weekend. Some disappointing. Some of the freshmen look promising.
Saturday's game at Holy Cross is going to tell a lot about the season. Holy Cross got a point in one of the preseason polls. AIC will have a week of practice under their belts. They have two games to learn from. They could have won both games in better circumstances. Now comes the time to create their own better circumstances.
There was some really good points to the weekend. Some disappointing. Some of the freshmen look promising.

I would say that AIC's record at this point is actually 1-0-1. A 3-4 loss against Michigan Tech is practically a win for this team and should be marked as so. The 1-3 loss was not that great but Michigan Tech just got lucky with their goalie so it's basically a tie.
AIC is just prepping for a strong push through Atlantic Hockey.

They were 16-11-4 last year by that logic.
With logic like that AIC should go undefeated.

I think its fair to say that AIC hockey is in a much better place than both Army and SHU...No last place this season.

I know what you mean with the should have could haves. But I think this team now has the capability to DO IT! Hopefully the new blood will change things around.
It was nice to have these first two games be non conference, especially with the lack of on ice practices before the game. So I'm going to stick with what I said. The Holy Cross game is going to tell a lot!

Good luck to the boys this weekend. No matter how bad Clarkson is they always put in a good effort at home. My biggest concern is our lack of shots against Holy Cross and our total reliance on goaltending to keep things close. That will eventually fail and turn into a disastrous game. Let's hope the scoring opens up now that the team has some games together.

Compared to Michigan Tech, holy Cross really put the clamps on. They didn't allow a lot of free outlets. They were often inside the head of the AIC player, knowing where they were going with the puck.
After this, there were times when AIC has 1-2 seconds to turn around and work on getting out of their zone, but they were almost expecting a player to be right on them, so they didn't turn around with the puck. Also, holy Cross won most of the battles along the boards. And all they seemed to do was dump the puck in. Well, not all the time, but WAY too much.

Back to out shooting the other team, not finishing, and the result is a loss in a game we could have won. Too many bad goals at bad times too. Tie the game and then two quick goals against killed our momentum. Tough to watch the wheels come off every game. 60 minutes of hockey on Saturday boys.

Friday night - it was scary how Clarkson turned it on after AIC tied it up. They had some good shots and chances, which are just not finding the back of the net. It almost looks like they are very rusty and not practicing offensive plays. There are players who looked good last year, that just look rusty so far.

It's an AHA record... it will make it into the NCAA record books as they have top 25 teams with shortest time between goals and it has teams with 10 seconds between goals. My broadcaster partner was looking down to see which rookie needs to have a goal for all of them to score a goal in a game and by the time he looked up... Plessy had scored.
