AIC Represent!! 2010-20?? Thread

Re: AIC Represent!! 2010-20?? Thread

Looks like you guys have another game, and it's with RPI. I'll update the schedule when I get a chance.

Re: AIC Represent!! 2010-20?? Thread

If they are indeed playing Union this year, then that would be a full schedule for AIC. With all the conference games, they are currently at 33.

Re: AIC Represent!! 2010-20?? Thread

The Union game was confirmed. AIC has a full schedule this year...and are the envy of some other teams.

Re: AIC Represent!! 2010-20?? Thread

Now they need a few more solid recruits. They are going to lost a lot of solid players after this year, so they need to be prepared!

Re: AIC Represent!! 2010-20?? Thread

Wow, the Atlantic hockey web page is pathetically behind the times. Look who they got as the assistant coaches. http://www.atlantichockeyonline.com/members/AIC/index

Asst. Coach : Brian Bova
Asst. Coach : Joe Cardarelli

-------------
On a side note, only 10 more league games need to be announced, and you can practically tell when 8 of them will be.

I give you (posted by me, their radio guy, on the AIC Athletics FB page) a partial AIC schedule:

I would say by process of elimination (though I won't stick it up on my schedule yet) we could also add:

02/10-02/11 Bentley (not sure where)
02/03-02/04 Holy Cross (not sure where)
12/02-12/03 Air Force (not sure where)
01/13-01/14 Mercyhurst (not sure where)

AFA and MCH are both at AIC. BEN and CHC will be home-and-home.

Re: AIC Represent!! 2010-20?? Thread

That leaves the two single games vs Bentley and H.C. probably being in October, maybe November.
they have the entire weekend of 10/14 off from games and then in November they have two weekends with only one game (though they go to Brown on the following Tuesday, so I would think they would prefer the first weekend where they have only one game.)

RPI blog Without a Peer article on AIC http://www.withoutapeer.com/2011/07/know-your-enemy-american-international.html.

I have no connection with the blog except for being a reader.

Seems to me like that blogger forgot that, without a bad penalty call late in the 3rd period, the Engineers wouldn't have won their game against us two years ago...and fittingly, Pleskach had 1 G, 1 A in that, his second NCAA game. The blogger also forgot about our goalie. I'd imagine that if the Jackets beat the Engineers, it'll have as much or more to do with Meisner than Pleskach (just ask Mercyhurst or Air Force)

Bitter, are we?

Re: AIC Represent!! 2010-20?? Thread

I guess it is good that some fans are bitter!

You could make the same point about a few more of their games this year. I don't know if I was just paying more attention, but it seemed like the refs were far worse this year, and Canisius and Niagara must be giving Siena a good run for their money with their men's diving team in the MAAC. =]

But I'm sure you can make the same points about every team's play.

Re: AIC Represent!! 2010-20?? Thread

Bitter? Yes. It irritates me to no end when the zebras decide the outcomes of games, whether in my team's favor or not...and there have been times where they've decided them (or attempted to) in our favor.

Sadly I did not see the game so I cannot say either way, but I do agree that the refs deciding the outcome of a game, despite in whose favor, is not the best for any sport.
