As someone with no "dog" in this fight, I am of two minds here.

1. It would be cool to see an underdog win, and I'd be interested in seeing how the NCAA would arrange for them to get their QF matchup. It would also quiet those who said that SNC didn't deserve to have to play in the first round, because if you lose in the first round, you didn't deserve a QF spot anyway

2. I'd like to see SNC win, because they probably do deserve a QF spot, and are not hurt in their quest for the title if they get past the first round and have to play another team that survived a similar contest at the same time.

I will look on at this contest with interest, but detachment.

I don't know this for certain, but I strongly suspect UST moved into #7W and Adrian dropped out in the final regional rankings. If Adrian and UST were to happen to win, I think you'd be over here on Saturday.

Blue Devil Radio: I'd agree with what GB puck Fan recommended and add Kroll's for burgers and a full menu of bar food. It's on Ridge Road just West of Lambeau Field. Exit east on Lombardi from 41 south to Ridge Road. Right on Ridge. Any of the places mentioned would be good.

NU Prof:

You have been spending too much time in the snow!! If SNC lost, this has nothing to do with the bye in the QF's that they deserved. This is earned by winning the NCHA and Peters Cup championship and #3 according to polls including yours I believe. The fact that they do not have a QF bye is complete BS and has nothing to do with this game. The pairings has something to do with making sure that only one West team survives and the East has an easy road to LP to fill seats.

But the way the NCAA forced things to happen, giving SNC a bye would have meant that Oswego wouldn't have gotten one, and that's not fair either. The solution was available (Adrian to Elmira), and according to what I've heard was proposed by the committee, but shot down by the higher-ups. Stupid, Stupid

Adrian must of skated at the "STONE" late this afternoon .
I was pulling out of Wendys and saw their bus parked at
the Ramada Inn in Ashwaubenon.

SNC and Adrian both practiced at 3:00 today at the CCC. SNC on their rink and Adrian on the second rink.

They should have just played this afternoon when no one was paying attention and then called in the results.

I figure it would have saved the NCAA some cash as opposed to bothering with the whole dog and pony show tomorrow night.

Agreed...and then the NCAA could take that money and send 4 womens teams out West for their tourney!:rolleyes:

That contract is done and paid for. Irrelevant.

By the way, SNC and Adrian kicked off at 3pm today on the 3rd sheet at the CCC. It's now 3-3 in the 12th overtime. No one is there to see it but thankfully the NCAA banners promoting mobius madness are there so everything is ok.
