Gosh with the start Plattsburgh's had, I would have thought you'd be wearing your sunglasses everywhere !! :D:D:D

Just curious about this adrian tourny........why dont the 2 teams that win face each other, ?? and why wouldnt adrian play Genny who is traveling out west to play if its their tourny??..thnks

I'll answer the 2nd one. Adrian wants two in-region games. Outside of conference play, this is the last time Adrian will play anyone inside the West region. They're going out east to play in Norwich's tourney on New Year's, and they're playing Buff State the next weekend.

Oh, and by the way, this weekend is a huge one for Adrian.

What's amusing as it pertains to the NCAA's antiquated way to delineate regions is that Geneseo and Buffalo State are both closer to Adrian than Eau Claire and Hamline are.

Actually they played St. John's "in region" last year and the distance was way farther away than any of their "out of region" games. The NCAA makes no sense, but that is no surprise. The best idea they had, but discarded before it even took effect was a proposal to allow 'out of region" games contested during school breaks to count as "in region" games. It was passed, and was to take place the season after it passed, but for some reason it was shelved before taking effect. That was a solid, reasonable compromise that would work really well for hockey because of the Thanksgiving and Christmas/Midyear/Holiday/Kwanza (call it what you like based on your sensibilities). Never happened.

Just heard that the outdoor game at Michigan Stadium will be on the web cam - 9:30 a.m. on Saturday

Weather forecast has temps in the upper 20's lower 30's on Saturday with a very slight chance of flurries. Perfect Pond Hockey Weather! The boys playing the game will have a blast.
