I think Dennehy would rather wait for BC to open up if he had his choice to change jobs, but if he is unhappy with his contract and needs to cash in then I couldn't blame him for talking to umass. It's a dog eat dog world out there.

Curious - what makes you think Dennehy would get serious consideration from BC when Coach York retires? :confused:

BS excuse he gave...he left Holy Cross because the school was doing renovations to the athletics facilities and were not touching the hockey rink. He had been at HC nearly twenty years so I don't think his commute was the real reason

Congrats to UMass.
Now, how do I view Dennehy? Someone has told me he is the highest paid coach in D1 hockey with an overall losing record (although I can't believe he makes more than Gendron). Pragmatically, I can understand wanting to max one's income, but it does leave a mark (pun intended) that he was interested in another program in the same league (currently the worst program in the league). Is it all about the Benjamin$$$$?
