A New Coach for UMass...

The previous AD killed any momentum within the hockey program (and supporters) with his singular focus on football at the time of Cahoon's departure and Micheletto's hire. I think the institutional support piece is huge. AD Bamford seems to understand that its possible for multiple sports to be successful at the same time. I'd like to see a steady improvement under Coach Carvel, but I know it will take time to get to the point where we might contend on a regular basis. Another thread is asking if the "Big 4" in Hockey East has changed - Well, the wheels have come off in Orono and UNH seems to be A.B.D., so I find it hard to believe that UMass cannot start to move up with the right coaching and the right frame of mind at the administration level. Is Carvel going to "wake the sleeping giant"? I don't know but I'd like to think so at this point but I'm delusional (and re-upping my season tickets) :-)

And Patman, your degree says UMass too, whether you like it or not ;-)

Wouldn't take much to be an improvement

What will be interesting is to see how many of the old commits they keep vs cut loose

Anyone know if the UVM game scheduled in Belfast will be yet another home game the season ticket holders lost? It is nice to see two games each with Arizona State and Colorado College (59 and 52 respectively in the final pairwise from last year) filling the void for already losing BU to Boston errr.... I mean Fenway.
