He's what passes for moderate in the GOP now.

Peter King being called a moderate makes me sick. He's psychotic on Middle East policy. Every time he appears on a national talk show and chants Muslim I want to puke.

In all, 63% of Americans in the poll say that failure to raise the debt ceiling would pose “a real and serious problem,” while just 15% said it wouldn’t be a serious problem. The rest had no opinion.

The poll did find disparities among partisan groups in how seriously they took the debt ceiling. Just 3% of Democrats, and 17% of independents, said a failure to raise the ceiling would not be a problem, while 29% of Republicans—and 33% of tea-party supporters, held that view.
The poll of 800 Americans, conducted between Monday and Wednesday, had a margin of error of plus or minus 3.4 percentage points. The full results of the poll will be released at 6:30 p.m.
