Re: 2nd Term, Part VI: Burnin' down the House

The unfortunate part of that is that this country really needs two parties to function properly. I do hope you're right though as I'd rather live with one party than have a day when the social conservative nut jobs are in control.

People have been predicting the end of the Republican party for a while though and it keeps on keepin' on.

Maybe it will split. That might be ideal as it would force compromise as the Republicans would have to decide if they're with the Dems or the Tea-baggers on each issue.

And the left wing nut jobs are any better? Please.

That was your takeaway?

The difference is that the left wing has not hijacked the Democrat party nor does any moderate Dem fear a primary from his left.

Way to see only what your tinted glasses were looking for though.

12th day of your shutdown. And it's your side that's *****ing the most about it. Square those two facts in your bubble.
You did not answer the question. But then again, if you question a left winger, you get an attack back. Typical.

Really? I'm SHOCKED! Try getting national office without catering to the loony left. Slick may have been the only one in recent memory.

What is wrong with getting primarried anyway? If someone doesn't feel you are doing your job in Congress why shouldn't someone run against him or her. You make it sound like once someone is in DC they are untouchable. I wish everyone in the house and senate would get primarried

Re: 2nd Term, Part VI: Burnin' down the House

They aren't getting primarried because they aren't doing their job, they're getting primarried because they aren't bat **** crazy extreme enough.

It's amazing how blind some of you righties are.

Bat**** crazy might be the case but its still within their rights to do so. Its you thats blind to not see thats how the system works, don't like it change it but in your case remain with the status quo forever even if you don't like it.

There's nothing to answer. Sorry, but Birtherism, Anti-Birth Control, Anti-Women's Health Care, Any Gun for Anyone at a Gun Show, Evolution Is the Devil's Work, Bat **** Crazy is just way more nuts to me than anything Code Pink does.

Nobody is saying that it's not within their rights and I understand quite well how the system works.

The problem is that your party is being hijacked by the bat **** crazies because your normal people are afraid of being primarried by the bat **** crazies which leads the normal people to behave as if they are also in fact bat **** crazy which makes your party the Bat **** Crazy Party.

How do you not see this? Why doesn't this bother you?

If roles were reversed and the left wing loons were doing the same thing to the Dems, I'd have a BIG problem with it.

It doesn't bother me because its not my party I'm a libertarian and its apparently what voters in those districts want, will it kill the repubs, maybe but they suck anyway so who cares

Re: 2nd Term, Part VI: Burnin' down the House

I wonder if the "Million Vets March" will draw as any truckers as the "Freedom Ride" did.

Re: 2nd Term, Part VI: Burnin' down the House

Too bad the vets didn't have SEIU on their side, they could hire a few drunks to march with the vets

Re: 2nd Term, Part VI: Burnin' down the House

I wonder if calling it a march is a bit of a misnomer. :D

It's actually a publicity stunt by Sarah Palin and Ted Cruz. Who'd have thunk it!?

ETA: Want to make sure I give credit where it's due - Senator Mike Lee (R-UT) also was a leader of this "non-partisan" group that decided to do this totally unexpectedly, even though the movement "Million Veterans' March" already had a website and every speaker at the event was from the "Value Voters Summit".

But it was totally impromptu and non-partisan.

Their politics may be clear ("Obama must go!"), but I have to admit that moving the barricades to the White House is pretty *ing awesome.
